About This Pub
Ah, The Bentlands – it's one of those reliable locals in Wolverhampton that just hits the spot for a laid-back evening. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real highlight; think delicious, freshly cooked dishes with plenty of options to suit different tastes, whether you're after a classic pub grub or something a bit more adventurous like their Tex-Mex specials. The garden's a gem too, especially if you're popping in with the dog on a sunny day, and the service always comes across as genuinely friendly and quick, which makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. On the flip side, it does get packed, so booking a table is probably a smart move to avoid any disappointment, and keep in mind the website might not have the latest menu details. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a welcoming spot to unwind over a pint and a meal – I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, as long as you plan ahead a tad.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – fresh, tasty meals with a great variety, especially the Tex-Mex options and specials like the Thai curry salmon, which folks rave about for their flavours.
-
It's a welcoming, family-run spot with a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends, couples, or even bringing the dog along to their large, dog-friendly garden.
-
Service is friendly and efficient; you'll get your drinks and food quickly, even when it's buzzing, and the bar staff are always up for a chat.
-
Good value for money with generous portion sizes, making it a brilliant choice for a casual night out without breaking the bank.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy, so you might want to book ahead rather than just turning up, as tables fill up fast.
-
The website menu might not always be the most up-to-date, so it's worth checking in person or giving them a ring to avoid any surprises.
-
With the operating status seeming a bit unclear at times, it's best to double-check their hours before heading out, just to make sure they're open when you plan to go.

Turned up on the off chance that we would get a table for tea & managed to get seated in the bar. Food turned up very quickly especially with how busy it was & was delicious, especially the halloumi fajitas. Good value for money with portion sizes.
Beautiful setting, huge beer garden. Wonderful atmosphere and food
The food here is excellent, it is consistently delicious and looks incredible. There’s a wide choice on the menu and the tex mex section is particularly good. Service is friendly and quick. Great for families but also couples and friends etc. A great all rounder
Had the special thia curry salmon rice and chips .it was very tasty.
Nice flavours it in.see pictures. Nice drinks .
We just turned up it might be worth booking a table.
Really nice pub / restaurant. I was in quite a large party for Easter Sunday lunch. Had a couple of drinks in the bar before dining and the bar service was great. Once in the restaurant the food was really good, I shared Nacho Supreme for two with my nephew and had a rare 8oz sirloin steak for my main, which was cooked perfectly. The service was great, with several tabs being run between everyone at the table without issues.
