About This Pub
Ah, chatting about The Bell Inn, it's got that homely feel that makes you want to pop in for a bite or a stay, especially with the food bursting with wonderful flavours that'll have you coming back for more. The staff are an absolute highlight, always on hand to sort you out and keep things cheerful. And if you're looking for a room, they're surprisingly modern and offer great bang for your buck. On the downside, though, winters can be a tad miserable if the heating's not up to scratch, and I've heard a few grumbles about the bar not being as clean as it could be, which puts a damper on things. Then there's the constant hum from the road and trains that might keep you awake, and those pesky booking mix-ups that could spoil your plans. All in all, it's a decent choice if you're local, but I'd say go in expecting a mix of the good and the not-so-good – it's all about managing your expectations for a balanced night out.

My first meal in this Indian restaurant, which is in what was The Bell Inn pub hotel situated on the main road in Ruislip Gardens. The food was full of wonderful flavours, I really enjoyed it. A real delight to now have as a local restaurant.
Greene King has taken over and renamed it The Bell. Old website is still running and somebody is still taking bookings for rooms and scamming the money off the back of this pub. Guy in the The Bell was helpful and another person had arrived with a booking there too.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THE OLD NAME, the new one doesn't take bookings or do rooms any more.
It is fine maybe for summer, but in winter there is no working central heating (windows in bar full of condensed water because of the cold - see picture), the bar is dirty (I haven't seen a clean beer glass in bar). On the other side, the staff is very nice and the beds are good, also the sheets are changed daily. I was there for two nights so don't take my opinion as the first and last one - go there and make your own picture, maybe you will see it different.
The room was really nice, friendly atmosphere. The only downside is the noise from being sandwiched between the main road and the railway line. If you're a heavy sleeper, it won't be a problem. Would definitely stay again
Despite the less than favourable surroundings and looks from the outside the room was actually very good. It was a good size, nice and modern and very good value. The only thing that let the stay down was the included continental breakfast which was very limited. I'd opt to pay the £7 supplement for a full English if I stayed again or just go to the cafe across the road.
