About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about The Bedford Tavern – it's one of those pubs that just gets it right for a laid-back night out. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the pizzas from Lenny's Apizza are a real highlight; they're big, flavoursome, and I've heard folks raving about ones with potatoes or simple classics that hit the spot every time. Paired with a great range of craft beers and drinks that won't break the bank, it's easy to see why people keep coming back for more. The staff really shine too, always chatty and attentive, which adds to that welcoming local feel – it's like popping round to a mate's for a pint. On the flip side, it's a shame it's closed on Mondays, so you'd have to plan around that if you're out and about during the week. And when it comes to booking a table, it's not instant; they need to confirm, which might throw a spanner in the works for last-minute ideas. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're in the area and after good food, drinks, and a bit of a laugh, but just keep those little niggles in mind for the best experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The pizzas from Lenny's Apizza are absolutely delicious and come in generous portions – perfect for sharing or a hearty meal.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • They've got a fantastic selection of craft beers and premium drinks at moderate prices, like pints around £5.40, which feels like good value.
  • It's a really chill and welcoming spot with a great atmosphere, plus fun touches like board games that make it ideal for a relaxed evening with mates.
Cons
  • It's closed on Mondays, which can be a bit of a nuisance if you're planning a mid-week get-together.
  • Bookings aren't confirmed straight away – you have to wait for them to get back to you, so it might not suit spontaneous plans.

I do not usually post reviews but this was my 3rd time coming here and I am beyond happy. Pizza is my top 3 in London - simple but delicious. Everytime I managed to be there for 7pm-8pm rush and the staff was simply incredible, whether we are talking bartender in black cap behind the bar or sweet hostess delivering food, they are all amazing, stress never got to them and I had the best experiences. Amazing spot for lowkey afternoon/evening. I will be coming back until I eventually can’t get a table. Pizza

Lovely pub. Went to try Lenny's Apizza which was tremendous - give it a go! The pub was great too, with a friendly barman and Madri at just £5.40 a pint.

I really loved this place. It gives you a nice feeling. I love the design, the food is delicious, the staff is nice and chatty. They have a very good service. I've found it interesting to see that they actually have board games. You can go there for a drink, play some games and even eat. Lovely place!

Can the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable on craft beer. The food is good too — the burgers are awesome with veggie options available and go great with the truffle cheese fries. There is a plan to add a vegan burger as well. It's a cool bar with a welcoming local vibe. Probably Finsbury Park's best-kept secret.
