About This Pub

Ah, The Alexandra, it's one of those pubs that really grows on you if you're after a laid-back evening with friends or family in Darwen. The staff are always chipping in with a smile and a chat, making it feel like you're catching up with old mates, and they've got this brilliant range of drinks that keeps everyone happy. That beer garden is an absolute winner, especially if you've got the dog in tow – it's spacious and just the ticket for a relaxed afternoon. Then there's the entertainment side; free games like pool and darts add a fun twist, and they put on family days with BBQs and bouncy castles that are spot on for keeping the little ones entertained, not to mention the live bands and karaoke for a proper night out. On the downside, though, I've heard a few tales of rows kicking off, with fights that end up needing the police, and it seems the folks in charge don't always step up quickly enough to sort it out, which can make you think twice about heading there on busier nights. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good time if you're local, but it's worth keeping an eye on the atmosphere to avoid any hassle – just like any pub, it's got its ups and downs!

Absolutely awful! I’ve had to call the police multiple times for this pub due to fights and disturbances. One night I had to call the police 3 times. The management is absolutely shocking! They send out young female bartenders to deal with fights between grown men while the so called managers hide inside. Absolutely disgusting management! This place needs to be shut down or be placed under new management.

This pub is a grand building and if someone came along looking to invest it could be restored to its former glory. Some things never change though and this place lends itself to that saying. It's a grand pub and the service is exemplary.

It's great for kids to play outside they always have bbqs and bouncy castles on. When the football is on next season the pub will be even better especially with the outside screens
