Tappers Harker in Beeston

You know, when I think about Tappers Harker in Long Eaton, it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local spot – warm and inviting, with something for everyone. The food really stands out; I tried the Big Daddy Burger and it was massive and full of flavour, and they've got all sorts of options from lighter bites to desserts that hit the spot. It's brilliant for families too, with a kids' menu and even dogs welcome, plus you can catch live sports on the telly or have a go at pool in the bar area. The staff are an absolute joy, always checking in and making sure you're looked after, just like in that review where Grace made the day for her table. And with deals like 30% off mains, it's easy to pop in without worrying about the cost. On the downside, though, the beer garden could use a bit of love – it's got potential but looks a tad worn, which is a shame on a nice day. Then there are times when the bar gets slammed, leading to queues that feel a bit too long, and I've heard a few mentions of sticky tables that aren't quite up to scratch. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening, but it's worth keeping those little issues in mind so you can plan accordingly and still have a cracking time.
