About This Pub

Ah, Tap Social Movement – what a lovely little find in Oxford! It's one of those places that warms your cockles with its criminally good beer and a real sense of community spirit. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the atmosphere is just brilliant; it's got that relaxed, welcoming feel where you can kick back with friends, enjoy some live music, and soak in the vibes without any pretence. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, which really elevates the whole experience. And let's not forget the social side – it's fantastic that they're brewing and baking to support people coming out of prison, giving them a second chance and all, which adds a meaningful layer to your pint. On the flip side, though, it's a shame they're not open more often, only popping up a few days a week, so you might have to plan ahead rather than just dropping by on a whim. The food's another area where it falls a tad short; the pizzas haven't won everyone over, and some are calling for more variety like the old food vendors to spice things up. Oh, and watch out for that parking – the time limits can catch you out, even if you're trying to play by the rules. All in all, it's a solid spot for a good night if you're in the area, with more highs than lows, and I'd say it's worth a visit to support what they're doing while enjoying a well-deserved drink.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's a cool, welcoming spot that makes you feel right at home, perfect for catching up with mates over a pint.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and make everyone feel welcome, which really adds to the overall vibe and makes for a memorable visit.
  • They've got some cracking beers on offer, including top-notch low alcohol options, and it's brilliant that it's all part of a social enterprise helping folks rebuild their lives.
  • Live music and events bring an extra buzz, making it a great place for a night out with something a bit special on the go.
Cons
  • It's only open a few days a week, which can be a bit of a letdown if you're hoping to pop in spontaneously.
  • The food, like the pizzas, doesn't quite hit the mark – some folks reckon it could do with an overhaul or bringing back those varied food vendors for more choice.
  • Parking can be a hassle with strict time limits on the estate, so you might end up with a fine if you're not careful, even if you've done everything right.

Such a quality establishment. Not even a craft beer drinker, but we always used to go for the vibes. Cool setting, friendly staff, owner's top draw, always made us feel welcome. Piece of advice: ditch the pizza and get back the food vendors. The joy of it was the variety of food you'd get week in, week out. Their pizza isn't a patch on white horse pizza box that used to come semi-regularly. Big fan, but was better a couple years back.

Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Great booze and awesome atmosphere. Puts the cherry on the cake that they are a social enterprise too. Happy days

Nice place and atmosphere. We ate some Pizzas and we drank some drinks. The pizza service should be available at least until 10 pm.

Great place with really friendly staff and the best low alcohol beer I've ever had. We went for live music and that was also awesome! Great vibes, great night.

Great place with friendly staff and tasty beers! Just please be aware that it is a 2 hour parking limit on the estate. We got fined (and appeal rejected) despite number plate being entered into the brewery parking system. Not a fault of the brewery and doesn’t take away from this great place, just wanting to make people aware.
