About This Pub
Ah, Stanleys of Streatham – what a gem in the heart of London! From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, it's got this warm, inclusive vibe that's just perfect for a casual outing with friends or family. The live music and events add a real buzz, and the food is something to rave about – think big, flavoursome portions that leave you satisfied, especially their Sunday roasts. It's brilliant how they cater to dogs and families, making it feel like a community hub rather than just another pub. On the flip side, it does get a bit hectic with the little ones running about, so if you're in the mood for a quiet pint, you might want to pick your time wisely. All in all, it's a solid spot that strikes a nice balance, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone looking for good company, great drinks, and that classic pub charm without the pretence.
Pros and Cons

The food is spot on – generous portions of tasty dishes, especially the Sunday roasts, which are hearty and full of flavour.
-
They've got a cracking selection of beers on tap, perfect for settling in with mates for a good chat.
-
The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring you get good service even when it's busy.
Cons
-
It can get a tad lively with families and kids around, which might not be ideal if you're after a peaceful evening.
-
As it's evolved from its previous days, some might find it a bit different from the traditional pub vibe, though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

This pub used to be called The Horse and Groom. It was a very popular pub back in the day. Today was my 2nd time in the pub. The first time I was in this pub, I was really surprised to see how many young families were in the pub with their young children. The atmosphere was nice. There's a type of beer garden at the back of the pub. I ate on both visits and quite enjoyed my meal both times.
Lovely meal, good atmosphere with sensible people and a great Oasis cover band!!!!
I recently visited this pub with a few friends, and overall, it’s a nice spot for a meal. It’s family-friendly, so it can be a bit lively when kids are around, but the fact that it’s dog-friendly is a big bonus for us. The menu has a good variety of food options, and the prices are in line with the area.
When we first visited, shortly after they opened, the food was delicious. However, on this occasion, we encountered a small issue – we found a bone in the beef steak pudding. The chef explained it was a chin bone from the beef, but the taste was also a bit off.
Another disappointment was being charged full price for a spritz, even though the menu listed it at £6 from Monday to Saturday. We were there on a Saturday at 3:30 pm, but when we asked about it, we were told the menu was outdated and the offer no longer applied.
Despite these issues, the staff were friendly and polite, and we’ll definitely give it another try soon.
Had lunch at Stanleys today. Great ambiance and live music. Despite the crowd, was able to get a table and was served hot, fresh, tasty food - come hungry - big portions! Already feels like a great local and destination venue - close to Streatham Hill station.
Tasty, dog friendly, family friendly pub with wide array of beers in tap. Friendly staff and generous portions with Sunday roast menu making great place for a family meal.
Lot of food (brought some of the chicken roast home), vegetables nicely creamed. Good quality meat that was classic pub food in London.
