About This Pub
Ah, Shickers Tavern, what a hidden gem in Blackpool! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, inviting vibe that's just perfect for kicking back with a pint. The real stars here are the excellent range of craft and real ales – reviewers rave about the choices, and at reasonable prices too, so you won't feel like you're splashing out. Live music on Saturdays really livens things up, making it a top spot for a casual night out, whether you're chatting with friends or enjoying a band. The staff come across as genuinely friendly, adding to that homely feel, and it's clear it's a favourite among both locals and visitors. On the flip side, though, the food is limited to basics like nuts and crisps, so if you're hoping for a hearty bite, you might end up needing to venture elsewhere. It's a small place, which is lovely for intimacy but could get a bit snug on busier evenings. Plus, with no specific hours available, it's worth double-checking before you pop by. All in all, if you're into good beer and a relaxed atmosphere, I'd say give it a go – it's got that authentic pub charm that makes you want to return.
Pros and Cons

Live music on Saturdays adds a lively buzz; it's perfect for a relaxed evening out with friends, especially if you fancy a bit of a singalong.
-
The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, making it feel like a proper local spot that's great for both holidaymakers and regulars alike.

Friendly staff and owner who make you feel right at home, with reasonable prices that won't break the bank.
-
Handy location on Birley Street, close to other bars, so it's easy to hop around for a proper night out in Blackpool.
Cons
-
Food options are pretty basic, just nuts and crisps, so if you're after a proper meal, you might need to head elsewhere.
-
It's a small, one-roomed spot, which means it can get a bit cramped when it's busy, especially during live music nights.
-
No clear operating hours listed, which could make planning a visit a tad tricky – you might want to check ahead to avoid disappointment.
-
With only a handful of reviews, it's not the most well-known place, so it might not be on everyone's radar just yet.

Great little bar with a selection of ales and beers for you to sample. Reasonable prices. Food choices are nuts and crisps all you need in a bar
Great little bar with an excellent choice of craft and real ales. Live music every Saturday. Relaxing atmosphere and close to two other bars making Birley Street a great night out.
Very nice pint of blonde real ale whilst chatting to friends. I'm sure the place gets rather lively once the live band turns up, but for us it was a great stop off on the way to the bus stop.
Our go to bar before Blackpool matches. We also go in at night when we're up town. Small, cosy, good atmosphere, staff are friendly and the drinks choice is good.
