About This Pub
Ah, Shakespeare's Head – it's one of those hidden gems in London that just feels like a proper local haunt, tucked away south of Angel. I have to say, the atmosphere is spot on; the staff are so welcoming and make you feel like part of the crowd straight away, and the regulars add that extra layer of cheer. You've got affordable drinks flowing, like a cracking Guinness or some solid beers on tap, and that free jukebox is the icing on the cake – it really gets the energy going. The outside seating is perfect for a sunny afternoon, giving it a nice community pub vibe. On the flip side, though, one person mentioned steering clear of the 'tent', whatever that might be – sounds like it could be a bit off-putting. Plus, if you're after food, it might sell out quickly, so it's worth planning around that. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed pint and a chat, but keep those little niggles in mind if you're heading over.

The gold standard of what a pub should be. Wished I lived closer so that this could be my local. Excellent service from Jason and the regulars seemed to be a fun and friendly bunch when I visited. Good outside seating. Affordable prices and the free jukebox is the 🍒 on the cake.
Much like Shakespeare’s play, I’m not sure
If 'twas tragedy, comedy, or blur.
But the boozer was grand,
Like a time-travel stand,
With good lager and vibes that endure!
(⚠️avoid the tent ☣️)
Lovely old school pub. The staff are welcoming; the jukebox is flowing as well as the Guinness which is top! Would recommend
Great place for drinks! 🍻🍹When we were there, most of the food ran out so we couldn't taste it, but they had plenty of drinks lol. Dropped at this place to watch one of the Premier Leagues' soccer game. The environment is great and the music, as well. Located in a very festive area of London, be ready to be delighted with its lights and decorations!
The Shakespeare's Head tucked away South of Angel and Pentonville Road. A proper community pub with a range of keg beers and Courage Best from the cask. There is a small patio garden at the back, next to the food counter. Loads of lovely people here, a great place, long may it last!!! A great place.
