About This Pub
Ah, Saracens Head, it's one of those pubs that just makes you feel glad you stepped in, you know? From what I've gathered chatting about it with others, the staff really shine – they're always smiling and helpful, like that Tyreece chap who sorted out drinks and food with such cheer, or Amber who got rave reviews for her brilliant service. The food's a winner too; think flame-grilled burgers and sizzling skillets that are fresh and full of flavour, with loads of options for veggies and even the kids, all at prices that feel fair and straightforward. It's got that community spirit, hosting events and supporting local causes, which adds a nice touch to the whole experience. On the flip side, the opening times look a bit confusing with those varying Sunday slots, so you might want to double-check before heading out to avoid any disappointment. And while it's buzzing and fun, it can get lively, which is great for a laugh with mates but maybe not ideal if you're after a peaceful evening. Overall, it's a gem in Solihull for a relaxed meal or a pint, and I'd say it's worth a visit for anyone looking for that perfect blend of good food, warm welcomes, and a bit of that traditional pub charm.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – always friendly, welcoming, and go the extra mile to make you feel right at home, like chatting with old mates over a pint.
-
They've got a cracking selection of food, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, all made with fresh ingredients at honest prices that won't break the bank.
-
It's a proper family-friendly spot with high chairs and accommodating service, perfect for a relaxed meal or a get-together with friends and little ones.
-
The atmosphere is spot on for watching sport, enjoying a meal, or just unwinding, and they're involved in the local community, which gives it a real community feel.
-
Great value daily offers and classic pub grub like sizzling skillets and burgers that hit the spot every time.
Cons
-
The operating hours seem a bit muddled in the details, which might leave you scratching your head about when it's best to pop in, especially on Sundays.
-
While the food and service are top-notch from what folks say, it might get a tad busy at peak times, making it harder to snag a table without a wait.
-
It's more geared towards meals and family vibes, so if you're after a quiet, intimate spot for a deep chat, it could feel a bit lively for that.

Came in on the 1st of June for some drinks and a meal with friends. Great selection and vegetarian alternatives for food. Great service from staff. Big thank you to tyreece who bought our food out and drinks to our table. He's always smiling and made the day out so much better
Lovely staff and friendly atmosphere! Big thanks to Amber she was brilliant, absolutely no faults at all. Hopefully getting the recognition she deserves! Me and my family were so pleased with our experience, food and drinks were nice and service was great!

We came here tonight for the mother in law's birthday... Each member of staff we interacted with was friendly, helpful and above all did a great job.
The staff on the till were patient and
Helpful as I navigated the meals, drinks, desserts and vouchers.
Food came out quickly and was exactly what we ordered even though there were many little add-ons and options.
I usually get names but on this occasion all the staff on shift are included in this complimentary feedback.
Great job from the whole team here tonight...

Absolutely loved the fish and chips at Saracens Head! The fish was well-cooked, and the chips were nicely crispy. Great value for money and a satisfying, classic meal. Highly recommend!
