About This Pub
Ah, the Robin Hood & Little John – what a lovely little spot it is, tucked away in Bexleyheath. I've got to say, it's one of those pubs that just warms your cockles from the moment you walk in; the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and there's always a great buzz with the regulars. The beer selection is spot on, with a fantastic range of real ales that any ale lover would appreciate, and they've even picked up some prestigious CAMRA awards over the years, which speaks volumes. Then there's the food – oh, it's brilliant! Those Italian specials are a real highlight, all freshly cooked with a changing menu to keep things interesting. But, like any place, it's not perfect; it's shut on Mondays, which can be a bit of a nuisance if you're planning a casual meet-up, and the hours aren't the most flexible, especially on Sundays. Still, if you're after a cosy, traditional vibe rather than a packed-out scene, it's well worth a visit – just pop in when it's open and you won't be disappointed.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant – it's a proper old-school pub where you feel right at home with the friendly staff and locals.
-
They've got a cracking selection of real ales and beers, including seven well-kept ones and a couple of guests, which is a treat for any beer enthusiast.
-
The food is top-notch, especially the home-cooked Italian specials; it's all made fresh on site, and the menu changes weekly for some variety.
-
It's run by the same family since the 1980s, giving it a warm, personal touch, and it's racked up awards like CAMRA London Pub of the Year multiple times.
-
The overall vibe is welcoming and traditional, making it a hidden gem in Bexleyheath for a relaxed lunch or evening out.
Cons
-
It's closed on Mondays, which might throw a spanner in the works if you're hoping for a mid-week pint.
-
Opening hours can be a bit limited on some days, like Sundays, so you'll need to check ahead to avoid disappointment.
-
As a small back-street pub, it might not suit larger groups or those after a more bustling night out.
-
There haven't been any recent reviews in the last six months, so it's hard to say if everything's still as spot-on as it used to be.

Best little pub in Bexleyheath. Always a nice atmosphere with the locals. A really good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Definitely go here for lunch. Food is wonderful and the Italian specials are excellent.
A proper good old fashioned Pub, fantastic atmosphere, all the Staff and the Landlady were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going again when we are back next year.
Absolute gem of a pub. The draught beer is always Quality Street. If I could, i'd give the Robin 6 stars. Would highly recommend a visit.
Lovely old pub that was a surprise for us to find and be as nice as it is. Friendly helpful staff in a traditional local old pub. Food served 1200-1400 week days looks and sounds lovely having an English and Italian menu. Food is cooked on sight with the menu changing each week. Nice selection of drinks and the ice cold beer glasses of each beer is a nice touch. Have been several times after finding it and would recommend for a quiet place to catch up with friends. This is a real traditional pub.
Brilliant pub. Excellent home cooked food, great selection of well kept real ales, exceptional hosts in Ray, Katerina and Tony, all in all my favourite pub of all. Love it!
