About This Pub
If you're popping into Bath and fancy a proper pub experience, Ring O Bells really stands out as a gem. From the reviews, it's clear the food is a highlight – think tasty, well-prepared dishes that leave you satisfied, even if the menu doesn't go on forever. The staff are spot on, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which adds to that lovely, homely feel. It's a great spot for sinking a pint or two in a relaxed setting, and the drinks selection is spot-on for ale enthusiasts. On the flip side, the upstairs toilets can be a bit cramped and not the easiest to navigate, and you might miss having more variety on the menu, but that's a small price for the fresh, quality grub they serve. All in all, it's a place I'd happily recommend for a solid night out, balancing the good times with a few honest quirks.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely delicious and hits the spot every time, with a menu that's small but packed with options for all tastes.
-
Service is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
Atmosphere is cosy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening with mates or a quiet pint.
-
They've got a cracking selection of drinks, especially the real ales that keep things authentic and enjoyable.
Cons
-
The toilets are a bit on the small side and tucked away on the second floor, which might not suit everyone.
-
The menu's fairly limited, so if you're after a wide range of choices, it could feel a tad restrictive.

Thanks for making our last night fantastic
I had a wonderful meal at the Ring O Bells in Widcombe, Bath. Mick and Liz Dempsey are quite simply the best landlords in Bath. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere so friendly and warm. We had the best evening, with lots of local people out enjoying themselves in this lovely pub in a great part of Bath. Well worth a visit, you will come out smiling. 🥰🥰🥰🍺🍺🍷🍷
Great local pub with a variety of characters drinking there, the service was good and friendly. The food looks great though I was only there for a drink which was a good selection to choose from. The pub is spread over 2 floors with only small toilets on the 2nd floor, although the rear access comes in at 2nd floor as pub is set into a hillside. Lovely secret garden at the back too with plenty of seating.
Ring Of Bell's Pub
The Ring of Bell's Pub is an absolute gem of a spot. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the drinks menu is well-curated and delicious. The real Ales are awesome! But what really sets the Ring of Bell's apart is its food menu. The pub grub is hearty and satisfying, with a focus on locally-sourced ingredients and traditional pub favourites. The fish and chips are particularly noteworthy, with perfectly crispy batter and tender fish. Overall, the Ring of Bell's is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great meal and a pint in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The food was delicious. One of the waitresses in particular was really nice and helpful.
