About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Rake Hall – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a proper pub experience without any fuss. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is spot on; think fresh, home-cooked meals with a mix of British classics and a dash of global flair, all served up in a way that feels modern yet down-to-earth. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and ready to sort you out, which really makes the visit memorable. And the setting? It's gorgeous – this old Grade II listed building with sprawling gardens and cosy nooks, ideal for families or even popping in with the dog for a wander. It's affordable too, so you won't feel like you're splashing out unnecessarily. On the flip side, it does get packed, especially if you're near the shopping crowds, and things wrap up a tad early, so it's not the best for those wanting to linger into the night. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone after a balanced, enjoyable outing – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the little niggles.

Cons
-
It can get quite busy, especially being near Cheshire Oaks, so you might have to wait for a table on popular days.

Closing times are a bit early, around 10 or 11 pm, which isn't ideal if you're after a late-night pint or lively evening.

Brilliant place to eat. Service is amazing, such helpful staff. Couldn’t do enough to make our experience enjoyable. Food was delicious with a great selection to choose from. Would highly recommend. Love the decor too!
We had a lovely time at Rake Hall! We had a great seat in the window and we could bring the dog in, which was fab! The service was fantastic, everyone was so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious - a great experience, we will definitely be back!
A very pleasant pub with beautiful surroundings, home cooked food delicious, a perfect place to bring the family. Lovely to watch the sunset from the Rake Hall grounds.
Food was excellent. I enjoyed the sweet potato, quinoa & avocado salad.
Wow some fine dinning experiences are poncy for poncy sake. We don’t like eating out as my wife cooks everything from scratch. However all staff friendly, prices good but the flavour combinations you would never put together but they did and it was refreshingly unreal and a delight.
The decor was was lush too. We travelled 2.5 hours to visit the area during a massive storm and this place rescued our much needed weekend.
