About This Pub

Ah, Raffles Bar – it's one of those unassuming pubs that just hits the spot for a laid-back get-together. From what I've gathered, the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making newcomers feel like old mates, which really adds to the homely atmosphere. The drinks selection is spot on, with everything from Guinness to ciders at prices that won't set you back much, ideal if you're out for a quick pint or a catch-up with friends. That juke box pumps out some cracking tunes, giving it a lively yet relaxed edge, and it's got that classic traditional pub charm that's hard to beat. On the flip side, it's a shame about the food – no kitchen on site, so you're stuck with basic bar snacks if hunger strikes, and it might not satisfy if you're after something more substantial. Plus, with hours that often end around 3 PM, it could feel a tad early for a proper night out. All in all, it's a solid choice for a friendly, budget-friendly stop, but keep those expectations in check for the grub and timings.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the get-go.
  • Drinks are unbelievably cheap, which is brilliant for a casual night out without breaking the bank.
  • It's got a lovely traditional pub atmosphere with a juke box playing great tunes, perfect for a relaxed vibe.
  • The regulars are chatty and warm, creating that real community feel in this wee Dunfermline spot.
  • Bar snacks and sandwiches are on offer, giving you a little something to nibble on alongside your drink.
Cons
  • No kitchen means food options are limited to just snacks, so it's not the place for a proper meal.
  • The opening hours seem a bit on the early side, typically wrapping up around 3 PM, which might cut your evening short.
  • No website listed, making it trickier to check details or plan a visit online.

Very enjoyable patrons of the establishment. Food not available as there is no kitchen in the building.

Great wee pub. Been away a few years. Came back to my home town Dunfermline and my American wife and I received a warm welcome and I enjoyed a lovely pint of Guinness and my wife a half pint of cider. Great range of beers and other drinks and very decent prices.

Went here on a Saturday after lunchtime (first time in pub)and it was so friendly, great prices, barmaid was run off her feet as it was busy. There was bar snacks/sandwiches available, Duke box on, very traditional wee boozer with lovely regulars to chat to. Loved it. Highly recommended for a gid day

Walked in a stranger and it was like I'd come home. Friendly punters (not many in but I was acknowledged by some of those that were) and felt immediately in a comfortable place. Barmaid is very pleasant (she's also the owner). I found my new "local"!
