About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about Print Yard; it's one of those places in Carlisle that really hits the mark for a casual meal out. I've got to say, the food variety is brilliant – you're spoilt for choice with everything from smashing burgers and tacos to Greek gyros and Korean fried chicken, all dished up fresh and full of punchy flavours. The portions are generous too, and at moderate prices, it's easy on the wallet, which is always a win. The staff are an absolute delight; they're chatty, welcoming, and go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable, adding a bit of laughter to the mix. Plus, the outdoor seating with heaters is lovely for those milder evenings, and they've nailed the vegetarian options, making it inclusive for all. On the flip side, some of the grub can feel a tad heavy or greasy, which might leave you feeling a bit stuffed if you're not in the mood for it. We've heard a few tales of noise from live music drowning out conversations, especially if you're seated in a busier area, and there was that one instance where a mix-up with a vegetarian order didn't go down well, with the response not being as accommodating as you'd hope. All in all, it's a solid choice for a night out – just pop in with an open mind, maybe book ahead, and you'll likely have a great time, but keep those little niggles in mind for a balanced experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – think juicy burgers, fresh tacos, and a brilliant variety of cuisines like Greek, Korean, and Mexican, all packed with flavour and great portions for the price.
  • Service is top-notch; the staff are warm, engaging, and full of humour, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's got a cool vibe with outdoor seating and heaters, perfect for a relaxed meal, and they've got plenty of vegetarian options that are tasty and fresh.
  • Reasonably priced for what you get – meals that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank, and the overall atmosphere is lively and welcoming.
Cons
  • Some dishes can be a bit on the greasy or heavy side, which might not suit everyone, especially if you're after something lighter.
  • Noise levels can be an issue, like with live music that's a tad too loud, making it hard to chat over dinner in certain spots.
  • There have been occasional mix-ups with orders, such as non-veg items in vegetarian dishes, and the response from staff wasn't always as helpful as it could be.
  • Booking ahead is a must, as seating can be a bit hit or miss, potentially landing you next to a speaker or in a less ideal area.

Unreal.place. The best service EVER!!!! Warm welcome from stepping foot in the place. Met with a smile and engaging throughout our visit. Full of humour and laughter, and couldn't do enough for us. The food is phenomenal. Tasty, great portions and extremely reasonably priced. £54 for 3 drinks, 2 dishes and 2 sides. Atmosphere was ace. Upbeat melodic vibes with great music. A must on a dry warm evening to sit outside. Well done guys a great place!!!!!

Nice wee place withcs great variety of food. I recommend booking first as our party was located to an indoor area next to an oversized speaker. When asked if we could turn that speaker down stairs little, the response was, no it's live music. Which was funny as we didn't ask the dj to whisper. Food came quickly and was hot and tasty. Plenty of vanity in food choices.

Was in Carlisle for work, my colleague booked this spot. Great spot, such a great variety on different cuisines; Greek, Korean, Mexican and Indian. Lots of vegetarian options, full of flavour, food was super fresh, love the outside seating option with the heaters. Food is on the greasy heavy side but ofc it’s deep fried and that can’t be helped. Super fresh, flavourful and portions are huge. The onion rings were wow. The salt and paper fries 10/10 too.

I ordered halloumi gyros and they were good. Unfortunately, I am vegetarian and found small pieces of fried chicken inside the gyros. The manager was not particularly friendly or helpful. He offered to remove my drink from the bill and replace the food. I wanted the food removed from the bill and he didn’t seem pleased at this either.

Excellent place for lunch. We thought the burgers were the best we had ever had, so juicy! The Argentinian steak fries were amazing too, loved my raspberry lemonade as well! Great friendly service and a cool looking place to eat - will be back again!
