You know, I popped into the Premier Inn at Hartlepool Marina the other week, and it's honestly a lovely place for a relaxed stay. The staff are just gems – so approachable and eager to make your visit smooth, whether you're there for a quick overnight or a bit longer. The rooms are spotlessly clean with those cracking marina views that make you feel like you're on a mini getaway, and being right next to the water and a stone's throw from the town centre means you can easily nip out for a wander. The parking's a doddle too, which is always a plus when you're lugging bags around. On the flip side, a few mates mentioned the beds are on the firm side these days, and it did keep one of them up half the night, so that's worth keeping in mind if you prefer something softer. Plus, there might be the odd wait if they're a bit short on staff, but overall, it's a dependable choice for a comfortable night and a decent breakfast – I'd say it's spot on for anyone looking for a straightforward, no-fuss break without the frills.

Cons

Some of the beds have turned out to be quite firm, which might leave you tossing and turning if you're used to something softer.
There can be occasional delays in service due to staffing levels, so it might not always be as quick as you'd hope.
As it's more of a hotel setup, it doesn't have that buzzing pub vibe, so if you're after lively entertainment, it could feel a bit quiet.

We've stayed at Hartlepool marina many times and always enjoyed a quiet room, comfortable bed and good nights sleep. Sadly the beds have changed and they are now extremely firm, to the point that I barely slept. The staff were very understanding and provided a single quilt for me to put under the sheet to get a little more sleep on our 2nd night. Premier Inn will not be my Hotel of choice going forward.

Excellent stay at the Hartlepool Marina with family. Still got the manned check in desks at the time of writing, which is great. Well maintained, clean rooms, plenty of parking and well located. Staff very helpful and friendly, with any lack of prompt service down to the usual low level of staffing in Premiers' these days, rather than the willingness of the staff. Nice views of the marina and well located.

Staff are amazing and nothing too much trouble. I would especially like to mention Sophie who was a super star with nothing being to much trouble, along with Ashley and Matt, I stay in around 3 premier inns every week with work all over the UK. This is the best by far .

Used this hotel twice and enjoyed staying next to the Marina and a walking distance from the town centre and museum. The staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was typical for the chain. Would recommend.
