About This Pub

Ah, the Pig and Fiddle – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Leamington Spa, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars, always up for a bit of banter and making sure everyone feels welcome, which is just lovely for a relaxed get-together. The beers are spot on too, with a good variety at prices that won't leave you skint, and there's this nice garden area that's perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying a quiet pint with mates. It's got that authentic British pub charm, where you might end up chatting with the regulars or catching a match on the telly, and it's clear they're all about being inclusive, which is something we can all appreciate. On the downside, though, they don't do any food, so if you're feeling peckish, you'll have to nip out for a bite from one of the nearby spots – a bit of a shame, but not a deal-breaker. And it's not the place for a wild night; it's more suited to those chilled-out sessions where you just want to unwind. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a welcoming spot for a few drinks, but keep in mind it might be quieter than some of the flashier venues around.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • They've got a cracking selection of beers and ales at reasonable prices, perfect for a casual catch-up.
  • It's a clean and safe spot with a lovely garden area, ideal for enjoying a drink outdoors on a sunny day.
  • The pub has that classic British local vibe, where you can chat with regulars, watch some footie on the telly, and even spot a friendly dog or two.
  • It's wonderfully inclusive, with a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, which really adds to the community feel.
Cons
  • They don't serve any food on site, so if you're after a meal with your pint, you'll need to pop to a nearby take-away.
  • It's more of a relaxed, quiet spot rather than a lively venue, so it might not suit if you're in the mood for a buzzing night out.
  • There haven't been many recent reviews, which could mean it's not always as lively as it could be, depending on the day.

This is a classic British local. Don't go if you are looking for a night club or "all the pretty people". Go to meet some locals, pet somebody's dog, have a couple good hand pulled English ales. No food though, but a couple of decent take-away shops nearby.
