About This Pub

Ah, Hope Tavern – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its welcoming vibe, isn't it? From the reviews I've had a look at, it's clear that the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel at ease, and the atmosphere really comes alive with things like karaoke nights and a bit of spontaneous singing and dancing. It's spot on for a casual catch-up with friends over a few pints, and the locals add to that homely feel with their friendly chats. Being open every day makes it super convenient for a quick stop after a wander around Leamington Spa. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses – there was that one review where someone got turfed out early for a private do, and it left a bit of a sour taste, especially if it felt personal. Plus, if you're hoping for a bite to eat, it might not be the place, as it's more focused on drinks. Overall, I'd say it's worth a visit for a good time, but just go in with your eyes open and maybe check for any events first.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • It's got a brilliant atmosphere with karaoke and lively events – perfect for a fun night out with mates.
  • Locals are chatty and sociable, which makes for some great conversations and a real community feel.
  • They're open seven days a week, usually from around 11am to 11pm, so it's easy to pop in for a relaxed pint any time.
Cons
  • There have been a few grumbles about being asked to leave early for private functions, which could put a dampener on your evening.
  • It doesn't seem to offer much in the way of food, so if you're after a proper meal with your drinks, you might need to look elsewhere.
  • One experience mentioned a bit of unfair treatment, which is a shame and could make some feel uneasy.

What fun! My boyfriend and I popped in here on a Sunday and stayed for many more! We sung on the karaoke, had some pints, and had the best Sunday we‘ve had in ages! Such friendly staff and locals 10/10! Although our karaoke was an 11/10 hahaha!

Friendly warm welcome from Landlord, couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Nice patrons, good chats with them and a beautiful dog. Will definitely be back. (No stars on food because I don't know if they do food or not)

Came across the pub Friday night with a couple of friends, it was the best night I have had in a pub for a long time!! Very friendly, great music and great dancers. Will definitely be back and bring more friends.

Popped in for a couple of drinks with my brother today, upon ordering a 2nd drink we were told that we have to leave by 12.30 (an hour later) as they had a ‘private function’. My brother is a big lad curly hair & beard often people think he’s from the travelling community! There was no party at 12.30 just a racist pub owner! Don’t judge a book by its cover! It’s 2020 love!!
