About This Pub
Ah, Phoenix Pavilion – what a gem of a pub it is, tucked away in Brinsworth. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are really chuffed with the place, what with its solid 4.5-star rating from a fair few reviews. The staff stand out as absolute stars; they're attentive and make sure everything runs smoothly, whether you're there for a family Sunday lunch or catching the match. The food's a real highlight too – think hearty, home-cooked meals with plenty on your plate, and they're spot on with special requests like gluten-free options, which is a lifesaver for some. That outdoor area sounds brilliant for a summer evening, and the function room means it's great for parties or events without feeling cramped. On the flip side, it's not perfect; a couple of people rated it three stars, hinting it might not wow everyone, especially if you're expecting something fancier, and the lack of an online presence makes it a bit of a faff to plan ahead. All in all, though, it's a welcoming spot that does the basics brilliantly and then some, so if you're in the area, I'd say give it a go – you might just find your new local.

We went to the phoenix for mother's day lunch on Sunday as a family along with my mother and father in law, neither of us had any complaints.
The lunch was all freshly home cooked and it was very yummy, they even catered to my gluten free needs.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The room looked lovely it was decorated with balloons and fresh flowers they even had a live singer
We would definitely recommend ☺️
Great venue and bigger than it looks. Good variety of event on in a separate room to the pub side. Sports shown and a variety of alcohol on sale. Very good.
Visited Phoenix Pavilion for a Christmas do, and it didn’t disappoint! The atmosphere was absolutely spot on—festive, warm, and buzzing with good vibes. The staff were brilliant, attentive without hovering, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
The Yorkshire pudding. Finally, a real one—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and drenched in proper gravy. The roasties were a triumph too, and the whole plate just screamed comfort food done right.
If you’re after a cracking venue for a festive get-together, this place ticks all the boxes. Top marks!
I visited this place for the first time today. The outside space is lovely with bench seats and tables and a large grassed area. The bar area is nicely spaced out with TV screens, fruit machines, a reasonably priced menu. The toilets are accessible and clean.
There is a large function room at the side of the bar and a large car park. The latte coffee was lovely and cost £2.00. I would visit again.
Did a late booking for Sunday dinner.Eight adults and two children. Got our drinks in the bar and went through to the dining area where we were seated by our pleasant waitress.
Food is chosen from a menu (kids one too) and its table service throughout your stay. Portions are more than adequate and cooked to perfection. Good selection of puddings if you can fit them in.
Definitely the best food in Brinsworth with amiable and cheery staff. Highly recommend and will certainly be back.
