Old Shepherd in Coventry

You know, I recently had a lovely time at the Old Shepherd in Coventry, and I reckon it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a good night out or a casual family dinner. The staff are absolute stars; they're always cheerful, quick to clear your table, and nothing seems too much trouble, which really makes the place feel warm and inviting. The food is a highlight too – think hearty pub grub that's fresh and full of flavour, with some cracking deals on drinks that make it easy on the wallet, especially if you're popping in midweek. That beer garden is a proper gem on a sunny day, giving you space to unwind with a mate over a cold beer, and it's brilliant that they've got things like a kids' area and even dog-friendly policies, so it's not just for the lads. On the downside, it does tend to fill up quickly, particularly when there's a big game on, so you might have to plan ahead or wait a bit for a seat. And while the prices are fair for what you get, they might add up if you're not careful with the specials. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're in the area – I'd say give it a go for that mix of good vibes, decent scoff, and a bit of everything for everyone.
