About This Pub
Ah, the Old House at Home – it's one of those pubs that just makes you smile as soon as you step inside, with its traditional feel and that genuine warmth you don't always find these days. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks absolutely rave about the food; think proper pub grub like burgers and grills that are cooked just right, and they've got some cracking offers like 30% off mains, which is a nice touch for keeping things wallet-friendly. It's especially great if you're out with the family, as they've sorted a kids' menu and that outdoor patio is ideal for sunnier days when you fancy a bit of fresh air with your meal. The staff really shine too – stories from visitors mention how helpful and welcoming they are, like going the extra mile for special requests or making sure everyone's comfortable. On the flip side, the opening hours do look a tad messy in the details, so you might want to check ahead to avoid turning up when it's not quite ready for you. And while it's tucked away in Pelsall, which is lovely if you're in the area, it could be a bit out of the way for others. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good night out; the high ratings speak for themselves, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after that classic pub experience without any fuss.

What a lovely place, I drove up, from Brighton and took my elderly mother here for Mother's Day Dinner.
I was helped by the staff as my mother is in a wheelchair.
They were polite, friendly and the roast Vegan dinner was amazing,
So was the apple crumble, better than home cooked food.
Incredible price, I had to check that I hadn't been undercharged.
Even the local people were so friendly, holding doors open for us.
Will definitely be coming back with the rest of the family, next time we are visiting.
