About This Pub
Ah, Oakenhurst Farm Brewers Fayre – it's one of those pubs that really grows on you once you pop in. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, it's got this cosy, down-to-earth feel that's just right for a casual get-together or a family outing. The staff are top-notch, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which makes the whole experience that bit more enjoyable. I love how they've sorted out the kids with that indoor play area; it's clean and fun, giving parents a breather while tucking into some decent grub like their breakfast spreads or those new lunch specials that won't break the bank. And if you're into footie, it's a cracking place to catch the game with a pint in hand. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – you might find the lunch menu a bit sparse, missing out on the classics, and on busier days, things can slow down, leaving you twiddling your thumbs. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 3.8, it's clear most folks have a good time, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, just maybe plan ahead to dodge the crowds.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – always friendly, smiling, and quick to help, making you feel right at home.
-
It's a fantastic spot for families, with a clean indoor play area that keeps the little ones entertained while you relax.
-
The food hits the spot, especially the breakfast buffet which is warm, well-cooked, and gets replenished nicely, plus those new lunch deals from just £5 are a bargain.
-
Prices are pretty reasonable overall, offering good value for a hearty meal or a quick bite, and they've got live sports on show for a proper pub atmosphere.
-
The place has a warm, welcoming vibe with outdoor dining options, perfect for enjoying a drink or meal in a relaxed setting.
Cons
-
Lunch options can be a bit limited; you might miss out on simple things like sandwiches, which could leave you wanting more variety.
-
Service can sometimes drag, especially when it's busy, and you might end up waiting longer than you'd like for your food.
-
It can feel a tad pricey for what you get in spots, though it's not out of the ordinary for a pub meal.
-
On peak days like Father's Day or weekends, it gets really crowded, so booking ahead is a must to avoid disappointment.

Was treat to a visit for father's day breakfast by my family. Was busy due to it being this day. Food was always being replenished in the hot buffet. All was warm and was cooked well. When I asked for some black pudding that was brought out speedy by the more than obliging staff. Great visit and experience will definitely be back
We were going out for dinner but the pub we usually go to was fully booked. Passed this one on the way back and decided to try it. 2 adults and 2 kids. Turns out it’s my new favourite. Food was lovely and it wasn’t expensive at all. Kids area is nice and clean and they enjoyed messing until food came. Better than having them on iPads at the dinner table!
Always have an amazing time at brewsters. The staff are so wonderful and friendly, they always have a smile on their faces and a laugh to share. The food is lovely for the price point. The kids play aria is always so clean. Warm welcoming atmosphere, would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap and cheerful meal out with there family.
Went for lunch, 4 adults and 3 kids, but they no longer do any lunch food, like sandwiches, pannis or jacket pots. Had to also feed my boy afterwards and his meal was just not good value. The lad waiter told us that the service was slow as he was just not good at carrying out food... seemed a strange admission..
Nice place, the food was very nice, a little pricey but nothing unordinary. Perfect for kids as there is a little soft play joined (bare in mind, you have to pay for it). Didn't have to wait long for food even though it was a busy Saturday tea time. As we were staying in the premiur inn next door, we also came for breakfast, which didn't disappoint either. All in all, a nice pub with tasty food.
