About This Pub
Ah, the Morton Arms – it's one of those unpretentious gems in Acton that really captures the heart of what a good old British pub should be. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, whether you're a regular or just popping in for the first time, and that community spirit shines through with familiar faces and a chatty atmosphere. It's spot-on for watching live sports or enjoying a karaoke night with no judgments, and the fact you can bring your own takeaway adds a nice, relaxed touch for those laid-back evenings. On the flip side, though, the website's a bit of a letdown – it's repetitive and not the easiest to navigate, and without a phone number, you might find yourself turning up and hoping for the best. Overall, it's a solid choice for a no-nonsense night out, but if you're seeking something more polished or with heaps of extras, it might not quite hit the mark. Still, I'd say it's worth a visit for that genuine, feel-good pub experience – you never know, it could become your new local favourite!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's a proper community spot with familiar faces and a cosy atmosphere, perfect for grabbing a pint and chatting with locals.
-
They show live sports every day, so it's brilliant for catching the big games like football or rugby with a cold drink in hand.
-
You can bring your own takeaway, which is a fantastic touch for a relaxed evening without the fuss.
-
There's a great vibe with things like karaoke nights and an outside area, adding to the fun and lively feel.
Cons
-
The website feels a bit repetitive and could do with some freshening up, making it less helpful for getting all the details at a glance.
-
There's no phone number listed, which might make it tricky if you need to check on something quickly before heading over.
-
While it's a solid local pub, it might not stand out for anything fancy, so if you're after something more upscale, it could feel a tad ordinary.

You will see same faces every day which makes this place a proper local pub. Decent place to grab a pint or two if you're up for this kind of places.
The fact that they let you bring your takeaway is absolutely crazy. Amazing little pub, a haven in the corner of east acton. Highly recommended
My Brother and I were visiting Acton on a nostalgic trip to where we were born and grew up. Popped in here for a drink and was made very welcome by Alazar . So lovely and chatty . Also some locals came in and we passed a lovely hour or so reminiscing. A lovely place , and they sell my favourite red wine :-)
I came here for the first time to watch the France vs NZ rugby game.
The bartender was such a wonderful lady who welcomed me and treated me so nicely.
Wonderful standard for service and I didn't feel like a stranger in a new place.
The layout is quint and the calibre of customer is middle class.
Although I did have one "high" man come and disturb me. He was harmless.
Great experience and one of the only decent pubs in this area.
My first UK pub experience. What an incredible place. I absolutely love it! The people, atmosphere, vibe and staff was helpful and friendly. Make sure to try out the karaoke nights, no one judges and you get a free shot!
