About This Pub
So, picture this – you're wandering around Liverpool and pop into McGreavy's Irish Bar, and it's got this real homely feel that just draws you in. The staff are dead sound, always up for a chat and even jumping on the karaoke mic themselves, which makes for some cracking afternoons full of laughs and sing-alongs. They've got a solid selection of drinks, especially that smooth Guinness that's spot on, and it's great how they're so welcoming to everyone, including dogs tagging along. But, let's be honest, it's not perfect – I heard about times when their deliveries let them down, leaving options a bit thin on the ground, which could put a dampener on things if you're set on a particular brew. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night out; you'd probably have a whale of a time if you're up for the lively vibe, just keep in mind it might not always have everything on tap.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home, like you're catching up with old mates over a pint.
-
It's got a brilliant atmosphere with karaoke sessions that turn into absolute belters – you'll end up singing along and having a laugh.
-
They serve a top-notch Guinness and are really accommodating, even to furry friends like dogs, which is a lovely touch.
-
Outdoor seating is spot on for enjoying a drink in the fresh air, especially on a sunny day in Liverpool.
Cons
-
Occasionally, they run into stock issues, like when deliveries fall through and options are limited – not ideal if you're after something specific.
-
It might not look the most inviting from the outside, so it could be easy to walk past without giving it a go.

Unfortunately my arrival seemed to be bad timing for McGreavy's as their delivery had let them down last minute, and the only drink available on tap was Carling.
Carling isn't my drink of choice so I opted for a small bottle of Stella instead.
On a positive there is outdoor seating right and a large square to people watch while having a drink, which on a sunny day would be particularly nice.
Went in here for a pint on first view not the greatest pub but more about the characters you meet and that run it. Had an absolute belter of an afternoon singing karaoke. The builders were in doing a bit of work and one of them took the mic and sang shaggy and he was excellent. The DJ Dan was spot on and was very helpful. Pints were lovely. All the girls were helpful and singing aswell. Made our trip if I'm honest the craic was mighty. Will be back next time we are in Liverpool.
great irish bar and very accomodating even down to the dog having a drink too !

I traveled to Liverpool from the United States to fulfill a dream of going to Anfield. The first bar we came into was the gravy. All 4 of us were Irish and could not believe the music, the karaoke and the best of Guinness we had in Liverpool. John was dead sound and made us feel at home 🍀. A fantastic pub if you just want a few pints, or a lot of pints. 😉 😂😂😂
I didn't eat here. Just had a few guinness. The two staff members were really friendly. Felt like I was having a few Bev's round a mates. They both sang on karaoke and sounded great. Would deffo go again because they were dead sound and the Guinness was great
