About This Pub
Ah, McGinty's – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a warm hug when you step inside, right in the middle of Aberdeen's hustle. I've got to say, the staff are absolute gems; they're so welcoming and attentive, always ready with a smile or to sort out a quick table wipe, which makes the whole experience that bit more enjoyable. The food's a real highlight too – think delicious homemade Scottish fare like haggis bon bons and dirty fries that are packed with flavour and leave you properly satisfied, especially if you're tucking into it with a cold pint of local lager. And don't forget the events; the Sunday quiz or poker league adds a fun, social element that keeps things lively. On the flip side, though, the menu doesn't have a massive range, so if you're in the mood for something a bit more adventurous, you might be out of luck. Plus, the kitchen shuts up shop early, which is a shame if you're craving a pudding after your main. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night out, but it's worth popping in at the right time to make the most of it – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're after that classic pub feel without any fuss.

A neat pub! Good food and a fun atmosphere.
I had Mac n cheese with salad slaw and garlic bread and a pint of Aberdeen Lager. It cost me £17 I fancied a sticky toffee pudding later but the kitchen was closed
Nice chilled atmosphere but cosy and great staff and decor was hardly anyone there but didn't feel empty Apparently a great place to sample fine whiskies
Great find
Great for a nice cosy evening pub experience.
The staff are super extra friendly! Food options though a bit limited is good.
We stopped by McGinty’s just for a few snacks and pints, and were seriously impressed. The dirty fries with haggis were so tasty, and the haggis bon bons were yummy—crispy, flavourful, and super satisfying. Even the onion rings were spot on. The atmosphere is great—cozy, welcoming, and just a lovely place to relax. Definitely somewhere we’ll be coming back to!
Stopped in for a drink before heading to meet up for a meal. Staff were friendly and helpful even asked to wipe the table. Will head back as was impressed with the menus.
