About This Pub
Ah, Market Tavern – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local in Cleethorpes, you know? I've got to say, it's brilliant for anyone who's mad about sports; they've got these massive screens showing everything from football to Formula 1, and it's dead easy to settle in with a drink and soak it all up. The staff are an absolute treat too – that friendly, chatty service makes you feel like you're catching up with old pals rather than just popping in for a pint. Plus, with pool tables, darts, and even a beer garden, there's plenty to keep the evening entertaining, and it's great that they welcome dogs and have those cosy real fires going on chillier days. On the flip side, it's a bit of a letdown that they don't do food anymore, so you might find yourself nipping off for a meal elsewhere if you're peckish. And while it's generally a relaxed spot, there have been times when a few folks have kicked up a fuss, though the team sorts it out sharpish. All in all, if you're after a straightforward, enjoyable pub experience without any fuss, this one's worth a visit – just keep an eye on the vibe and plan for drinks rather than dinner, and you'll have a top night.

-
They've got some cracking drink offers and a good selection, so you can enjoy a pint or two without breaking the bank.
-

Cons
-
It's a shame they don't serve food anymore, as that might leave you needing to head elsewhere for a bite after your drinks.
-
Occasionally, things can get a bit lively with some rowdy behaviour from others, though the staff seem to handle it quickly.
-
Opening hours are fairly standard, so if you're after a late one, it might not always hit the mark, especially on quieter days.

Visited in the hope of some nice cooked lunch but when we arrived was told pub didn't do food anymore!!! Played pool and had drinks but had to find food elsewhere.
Nice and spacious, plenty of large TV to watch sports
Called for a drink and stayed a while having a dance to good music. Unfortunately some customers started to kick off and wanted to fight but was sorted quickly by staff. Luckily we were leaving at that point anyway. But enjoyable while we were there. Unlucky some people had to spoil it. Not the pubs fault.
Great pub , great service by the lovely barmaid who was the happy chatty sort you really like to meet. Wrong time of the day to be able to give stars for all categories, but we were made to feel welcome, and that is what a pub should be like.
Will definitely go back in the summer. Regularly.
