About This Pub

So, I've been having a look at Harriet's Restaurant – or should I say café, as that's what it feels like from the reviews – and it's got that lovely, welcoming vibe you'd expect from a local spot in Cleethorpes. The food really steals the show; people rave about the fresh, hot meals with massive portions that give you bang for your buck, whether it's a full English breakfast or a roast dinner. The staff come across as absolute gems, always attentive and making sure everyone's sorted, which adds to the homely atmosphere. On the flip side, it does close up shop quite early at 3 PM, so if you're planning a night out, you might need to look elsewhere. And while it's mostly cash only, which suits some just fine, it could trip up a few who are used to tapping their card. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed daytime visit – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area for a proper, no-fuss meal that won't disappoint.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on – fresh, piping hot dishes with generous portions that leave you feeling satisfied.
  • It's brilliant value for money, with meals like a full English or roast dinner coming in at a steal, especially for the quality.
  • The staff are warm and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's a charming little traditional café, perfect for a cosy breakfast or lunch in Cleethorpes.
  • Everything's cooked fresh, which really shines through in the taste and presentation.
Cons
  • The operating hours are a bit limited, wrapping up by 3 PM, so it's not ideal if you're after a later meal.
  • It's cash only, which might be a hassle for those who prefer cards or contactless payments.
  • One or two folks mentioned minor preferences, like wanting butter on the toast instead of what's offered, though it's not a big issue overall.

Lovely little traditional cafe, the only place in town where the beans are always hot, the portion sizes are always big & all round good value for money, definitely recommend the roast dinner, the staff are lovely friendly

Harriet's Café – My Go-To Breakfast Spot in Cleethorpes! I always head to Harriet’s Café for breakfast when I’m in Cleethorpes – it’s just one of those places that never lets you down. The food is consistently delicious, portions are generous, and best of all – it’s amazing value for money! 🤑 Whether I’m after a full English, some toast and eggs, or just a proper cuppa to start the day, Harriet’s hits the spot every time. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are lovely and welcoming, and the service is quick – even when it’s busy. It’s the kind of place where you feel right at home. No frills, just good food, great prices, and that classic café charm. If you’re in Cleethorpes and fancy a satisfying breakfast that won’t break the bank, Harriet’s is the one. Highly recommend! 😺

First visit for breakfast - which was lovely. Only criticism was I'd much prefer butter on toast 😊 £11 for two including drinks. Can't go wrong !

We had a lovely cup of tea and toasted teacake on Wednesday and this morning we had the full English. All cooked fresh from scratch 😋 piping hot and June is lovely, plus cash only which is best. Such a cute little place, will be back when in the area

Been past many times over the years but for various reasons it took until yesterday morning to make my first visit. The woman was warm and friendly with her welcome and service provided. Despite people coming and going she was very attentive to make sure everyone was sorted. My order of full English with both beans and tomatoes with coffee was all served in no time and still hot when it hit the table. Decent customer service is important if you want people to return but the contrast to what I've been given locally and further afield is stark. What I received was most welcome and appreciated. When I next visit I will try something else on the menu.
