About This Pub
You know, I reckon Leytonstone Tavern is one of those hidden gems in London that really pulls you in with its community spirit and top-notch offerings. Their menu focuses on fresh, ethically sourced ingredients, and honestly, the burgers and tacos are spot on – no wonder they've scooped up awards for them. Pair that with a handpicked range of craft beers and ciders, and you've got a solid spot for a laid-back lunch or a proper Sunday roast. The staff are genuinely warm and attentive, which makes the whole experience feel welcoming, and it's ace that they cater to events like birthdays or even weddings, tailoring things to suit your needs. On the brighter side, it's super family-friendly and even welcomes dogs, so it's perfect for a casual outing. But, to keep it real, there are a few downsides; some reviews mentioned waits of up to 40 minutes for food, which can put a dampener on things, especially if you're starving. Plus, prices are moderate but can feel a bit steep for what you get, like burgers that don't come with fries as standard. All in all, if you're after a good pub with heart and flavour, it's worth checking out – just plan ahead and manage your expectations for the service.

One of the best vegetarian Sunday roasts I’ve ever had. Great drinks selection, very welcoming and warm staff, fantastic service all round and very dog friendly (water arrived for my spaniel in 2 minutes without me even asking). I love all the breweries they serve from and the rhubarb cider was an absolute delight (also on draught). I couldn’t recommend this place more to anyone! Also they have some fun deals like taco Tuesdays and other options!
Food was really good and the vibe was friendly and relaxed. Many families here during the weekend.
Our food took a long time to arrive, ~40 minutes. The server apologised and said there has been a printer fault for our ticket that has gone unnoticed for a while. Our food arrived soon after and evening was fab.
Had to come here and try the much touted Bone Daddy Burger. The accompanying bone full of marrow definitely makes an eye catching plate. It is an absolute whopper in terms of price, running you £20 without fries! They do run a deal on Thursdays that allows you to get it with fries for the same price which makes it slightly more manageable.
The burger itself is delicious. Well seasoned and the patties crisp yet still juicy. The portion of fries was a little meagre though and could have done with a handful more - but this small portioning is becoming ever more common with fries.
All told the burger is good but is it good enough to justify the price? I think not. They do have core burgers that are more affordable and I'll probably be back to try those.
They also have a great range of beers and I understand that they refresh them frequently - full of brews both local and far flung, so a great stop for ale enthusiasts. Staff are also extremely helpful and willing to run you through the offerings if you're a little stuck for choice.
One of the best menus, with fresh tasty plates, reservations recommended.
Burger size is decent, fries are not included in the prices; chicken strips had a crunchy coating but meat was a little overcooked. Tommy was great from start to finish. Looking forward to trying tacos and desserts next time!
We photographed a wedding reception at the Leytonstone Tavern in March and it was amazing. A great pub with a really nice atmosphere. The space itself was really nice and interesting to photograph. The staff were amazing, no issues all night and as a vendor we were really well looked after. The food was great.
If you think that this is the type of venue that would suit your style of wedding then don't hesitate to enquire. We would happily recommend them and hope to visit again in the future. (working or social!)
