About This Pub
Ah, the Last Post in Harrogate – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper local gem, you know? From the reviews, most folks are chuffed with the friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and it's dead handy if you're into watching the footie, with plenty of screens to catch all the action. Prices are fair too, so you can have a good night without spending a fortune, and it's great that they welcome dogs, making it a nice option for a casual outing with your pet. On the flip side, there have been a couple of stories about staff being a bit off-hand, which is a shame, and it's mostly just snacks on the menu, so if you're after a proper meal, you'll have to look elsewhere. Plus, they've had issues with stock running low on things like wine, and the seating could do with an upgrade for more comfort. All in all, it's worth swinging by if you're in the area for a pint and some sport, but maybe not the best pick for a quiet catch-up – still, it's got that charming pub spirit that makes it endearing despite the rough edges.

Beautiful place to go. Staff is friendly. Nice neighborhood pub.
No-nonsense local and reasonably-priced.
Great for football.
No food served apart from the usual snacks, but that is the norm in non-gastro pubs nowadays.
Update: I would like to drop my rating to three stars due to the fact that this pub has ran out of my favourite wine on three occasions now.
But I'm feeling generous!
Please do order enough as wine doesn't go off quickly and you seem to be selling it quickly
Called in on saturday afternoon
Probably the worst reception i have had in a pub. The man behind the bar (with tatoos) was rude and refused to communicate with us.
Lots of televisions with football and speakers in every corner made it difficult for us to have a conversation so one pint and on our way.
The good news was the beer was excellent
My partner and stopped in here for an after dinner drink, we had our dog with us as it's dog friendly we thought it the place! Not only is is doggy friendly but lovely in every way. The couple who run this old bar are lovely people and I would be a regular customer if I happened to live in Harrogate.
Amazing pint of Guinness, best so far in the UK (coming from an Irish pallet)!
A great little pub / sports bar, with 2 TVs showing sports events and a reasonably stocked bar.
It was fairly quiet on this visit but can get pretty busy in the evenings, especially with a popular game showing.
Seating isn't the most comfortable.
