About This Pub
Ah, KOO Cocktail Bar – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a relaxed evening with mates. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the cocktails are a real winner; they're strong, well-made, and leave you feeling like you've got your money's worth. The staff really shine too – they're welcoming and flexible, whether you're turning up in your everyday clothes or with your dog in tow, which makes it feel like a proper community hub. And the atmosphere? It's modern and fresh, with a nice beer garden and an upstairs spot that gives you plenty of room to settle in. They've even got events like cheese and wine nights that sound like a laugh. On the flip side, though, it's worth noting that the opening hours aren't always spot on; one chap mentioned getting kicked out earlier than expected, which could put a dampener on plans. Plus, with it only being open a few days a week, it might not be ideal for impromptu get-togethers. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're in the area and fancy a drink, but maybe give it a quick check beforehand to make sure it's all systems go.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The cocktails are absolutely spot on – strong, delicious, and great value for money, making them a real highlight for a night out.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome, whether you're in casual gear or bringing your furry friend along.
-
It's got a lovely, modern vibe with a clean and contemporary feel, plus extras like an upstairs area and a beer garden that make it feel more spacious than it looks from outside.
-
They're dog-friendly, which is brilliant if you're popping in with your pooch, and they host fun events like cheese and wine nights that add a special touch.
Cons
-
Opening hours can be a bit unreliable; it's a shame when they close earlier than advertised, cutting your evening short unexpectedly.
-
They're only open a few days a week, which might not suit everyone if you're after a spontaneous visit.

Booked for the cheese and wine night last night and can honestly say it was one of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend anyway to go
Nice bar, however…..advertised as open till 0030. At 2315 we were told they were closing and were calling last orders so our night was somewhat cut shorter than planned. 💁♂️
Absolutely belting little bar! Tom and his team provided a great night for a few drinks. Rachel in particular was very accommodating and there was no issue with me wearing sports wear and having my dog in tow! (Yes this bar is dog friendly!) A real contemporary feel with a very warm, welcoming and casual atmosphere for drinks. Perfect for couples, families, or friends! There is plenty of space with an upstairs lounge too for larger parties and of course a flower wall for all your insta needs! Will absolutely be going again and have no hesitation to recommend this bar! Thanks Team Koo!
Very strong cocktails, well worth the money! Looks like a small bar on the outside but it isn't, they have an upstairs area and a lovely beer garden. Everything is modern, clean and new. Friendly staff!
Me and my friend has a really relaxing and enjoyable night here. Great cocktails, good music and lovely staff
