You know, as someone who's popped into a few Wetherspoons around the way, I have to say this one in Cramlington really hits the mark for a laid-back pint or a bite to eat. The staff are dead helpful and get your order sorted in a flash, which is always a winner when you're settling in for a chat. The prices are spot on too – grabbing a real ale for under two quid feels like a proper treat these days. And that old aesthetic with the woodfire adds such a nice, cosy touch that makes you want to linger a bit longer. On the downside, though, the tables can be a bit of a letdown; they're not always cleaned up properly, so you might fancy bringing along a wipe or two to sort that out yourself. Still, it's a solid choice for a budget-friendly night out, especially if you're local or on a bar crawl – just keep an eye on the busier times to avoid the crowds. All in all, it's got that classic Spoons charm with a few rough edges, but I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.
