About This Pub

So, I've been looking into Jeromes & Pavilion in Bridlington, and it's got this inviting feel that makes you want to pop in for a drink or a catch-up. The light, airy spaces and those cracking sea views really set the scene for a relaxed afternoon – imagine sipping on a reasonably priced IPA while gazing out at the water. It's brilliant for families too, with a safe indoor play area where kids can burn off energy, letting you enjoy a chat without the worry. The staff come across as genuinely friendly, and the place is kept nice and tidy, which always makes a difference. On the downside, though, the food hasn't wowed everyone; a few mentions of dishes being just okay and overpriced have me thinking twice about ordering a full meal there. If you're just after drinks and a bit of atmosphere, it's a winner, but it might not be the best bet for a hearty dinner. All in all, it's a solid spot with its charms, but worth keeping those expectations in check for a balanced visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The bar has a lovely light and airy atmosphere with stunning sea views that make it a perfect spot to unwind.
  • It's really family-friendly, with a staffed indoor play area for kids, so you can relax while the little ones have fun.
  • Staff are friendly and welcoming, adding to that warm, homely feel.
  • The facilities are spot on – clean and modern toilets, which is always a plus.
  • Drinks are reasonably priced with a good selection, including IPAs, even if cask ales are missing.
Cons
  • Food quality can be inconsistent; some dishes like a tuna wrap were described as average at best.
  • It's a bit pricey for what you get, which might leave you feeling short-changed after a meal.
  • Access to certain areas involves steps, so it might not be the easiest for everyone to navigate.
  • With mixed reviews on the grub, it's not always a reliable choice if you're after a top-notch bite.

Nice light airy bar. Lots of little areas to sit accessible by steps, toilets very clean and modern, but down a flight of stairs, not steep though. Haven't eaten here yet so cant comment on food but what i saw it looked good, probs will try before end of holiday

We stopped here for lunch when we wanted something different to fish and chips. Really wished we hadn’t! It’s a lovely building which is what drew us in. The staff were all friendly but the food was bad to average and very expensive for what we got. I had a tuna wrap which was no better than a supermarket one. Came with coleslaw which was nice and Luke warm chips. My partner had a cheeseburger which was okish but not great it looked like one of those tinned burgers! The worst was my son’s cheese and ham panini. They really need to sort out panini making out! I noticed my son wasn’t eating very fast I picked a half up to look inside. The bread felt stale and lukewarm with some cheese that looked like it had been grilled like cheese on toast and the driest but of ham on top (see photo) we spent £58 for the three of us it really wasn’t worth it! Won’t be visiting again and would advise others to choose wisely and if you do eat there maybe stick to fish n chips or the pizza!

Bar and cafe, with a children's in door staffed play area , good value £7.50 per child for a full day , you can leave and return with children as you want during the day and the parents can relax in the bar and cafe knowing children are safe and having fun. My grandkids had a blast. My son and I enjoyed the chilly outdoor seating and lots of excellent coffee and sea views.

Amazing fish and chips experience in a very beautiful place (looks like an old marketplace or warehouse) with a nice view of the sea. If you're looking for a place to eat, this is a good choice.

Great place to sit buy the sea front in all weather's. Lovely view out the window of the sea. We only had a drink which was reasonably priced. The food looked nice and the place was very busy. They don't have a cask ales But they did have an Ipa on pump. Plenty more drinks to chose from tho.
