That said, I have to mention one review that painted a different picture; someone had a right nightmare with a birthday do, where the regular crowd interfered and messed up the decorations, which sounds pretty frustrating. Overall, with such a strong rating from the reviews, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in Hornchurch and after somewhere straightforward and enjoyable, but perhaps steer clear if you're planning something more formal.

ABSOLUTE SHOCKING AVOID!
Had my wife’s 30th at this absolute dump, was told members would usually avoid when having a private function however was far from that when arriving it was packed with members All the decorations had been moved, members kicking our bags on the floor as they were in the was of the fruit machine , telling the kids to “shh” and making our friends and family feel uncomfortable, certain members off staff were also rude and made us go out the back in the rain to throw black bags out at night Also allowed people with no membership in who was also inappropriate to some women. Members in general were rude and made the night uncomfortable even tho it was a private function so all in all I would highly recommend the pub down the road!! Also would leave no stars but I have to put one to make a review unfortunately absolute shambles of a place
Always liked this place but could never necome a member. Friendly good prices, excellent little club.
Very family friendly place, lots of seating and on the weekend live entertainment. Also shows sports, football, rugby etc so it's a good atmosphere on game day without being overcrowded
