About This Pub

Ah, Hole in the Wall in Belfast – what a lovely spot it is, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, welcoming feel where the staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone's having a great time; Tiernan and the team sound like absolute legends. You'll find it buzzing with energy on weekends, with music and sports lighting up the screens, making it ideal for sinking a pint of excellent Guinness while catching up with friends or even chatting to new folks from around the world. It's open seven days a week from around half ten in the morning till one in the morning, which is dead handy, and the prices won't set you back much at all. On the flip side, it does get heaving on Saturdays, so if you're after something more chilled, maybe pop in during the week – and with no recent reviews to speak of, it's worth noting that things might have shifted a bit, but overall, it seems like a solid choice for a proper pub experience without any fuss.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely fantastic and really passionate about the place, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's got a cracking atmosphere, especially on Saturdays when it gets lively with music and sports on the telly – perfect for a good laugh with mates.
  • They serve up excellent drinks like a top-notch Guinness, and it's all at inexpensive prices, so you won't break the bank.
  • A great spot for a chat with friendly locals or visitors from all over, and it's nice and quiet during the week if you're after a more relaxed vibe.
Cons
  • It can get pretty packed on busy nights, which might make it a bit overwhelming if you're not in the mood for a crowd.
  • There haven't been many recent reviews, so it might be worth checking if things have stayed as brilliant as the older ones suggest.
  • No website means it's a tad tricky to look up the latest info before heading out, but that's a minor niggle really.
