About This Pub

Ah, Cassidy's on Antrim Road – what a gem it is! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really shines with its inexpensive pints that don't skimp on quality, making it a top pick for anyone looking to enjoy a good drink without spending a fortune. The staff are an absolute delight, always ready with a smile and that personal touch that turns a simple visit into a proper chat. And let's not forget the food; their Ulster Fry is a standout, packed with flavour and served up with real care, leaving you satisfied and smiling. The whole spot has this authentic, homely feel with cosy nooks and a welcoming crowd that makes it easy to settle in. On the downside, it's a bit of a shame they haven't got a website, so you might have to rely on word of mouth or a quick search to plan your trip, and those early starts at 4 AM could put off anyone who's more of an evening person. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint or a bite, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just go with an open mind and you'll likely have a great time.

Pros and Cons

  • The service is spot on, with staff who make you feel right at home, like chatting with old mates.
  • The food's a real winner, especially that hearty Ulster Fry, which is cooked to perfection and offers fantastic value.

Cons

  • The opening hours start at 4 AM, which might feel a tad early if you're not up for an early-morning pint.

Absolute gem of a pub on the Antrim road, one of the cheapest (and best) pints you will get in Belfast and some of the best service as well. Do yourself a favour, skip cathedral quarter and visit this place if you haven’t already.

It is an holistic experience to dine in Cassidys. The food is beautifully presented and served with love. On opening the door into Cassidys, you are aware of a wholesome hospitality. The authenticity of the establishment is an experience in itself

A truly authentic and hunger dispelling big old' fry was enjoyed on a tranquil Sunday morning. Huge fan of the quintessential classic pub décor from the cosy seating to the poster peppering the walls. Thought we were only in for a quick bite the warmth of the staff was radiant in an instant.
