About This Pub
Ah, Haveli Bar & Grill in West Bromwich – it's one of those spots that can really hit the spot on a good day. I've heard from a few mates that the Indian food there is spot on, with curries full of flavour and portions that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. The staff often come across as friendly and attentive, making it a nice place to pop in for a casual catch-up over a meal. But, and it's a big but, there are some stories floating around about food quality slipping up, like finding unexpected bits in your curry, and the way complaints are handled isn't always ideal – no one wants to feel dismissed after a bad experience. Overall, it's worth giving it a go if you're in the area and fancy some authentic grub, but maybe keep an eye out and go in with realistic expectations to avoid any surprises. It's all about that balance, isn't it?

Very good and delicious desi food. The staff are very polite and friendly , come here very occassionally with friends and still will keep coming one of the best bars for indian food in West Bromwich keep up the good work guys :).
Part 1
I am planning to eat there tomorrow evening and I think it is always fair and right to give any restaurant/eatery 5 stars to begin with - they can't get any better but they can lose them - I hope to be able to write an update once I have been - fingers crossed that I can give them a real thumbs up and say I will come back again - some of the reviews I have seen would make me question my sanity for wanting to go and eat there
Part 2
Having now been, I am struggling to find any more stars I can give - another 5 if I had them to award.
Looks can be deceptive - however, persevere and you will be rewarded.
Food was as good, dare I say better, than what I would eat at home.
Service is slow but I am not complaining.
Atmosphere is something you will have to create yourself - this is definitely not a place to go for atmosphere alone but it is 100% the place to go for food.
The menu is extensive and I think you will just have to try everything on there - it may take you a few visits but definitely worth it.
The staff are attentive and responsive.
The regulars are unique for use of a better phrase but I am sure are the kind of folk Terry Waite would have come to love in captivity.
There are a few amusing things to note on the menu and especially when they claim to have been established - the 1800's and an interesting typo in the prices - you will have to find these for yourselves.
These folk deserve to be at least 30 times busier than they were and I wish them the very best.
Will I be going back again? The answer has to be a resounding YES
The prices are modest - almost embarrassingly so - but they are either clearly happy with them or can't be bothered to spend money printing new menus 😀
Wish them all the best 🙏
Worst customer service ever. Nobody in the staff acknowledged we were there. The guy taking orders was extremely rude. No social distancing in place. I would give ZERO stars if I could. Dont go. We left without eating.
Visited today for our friend's son's birthday. Very quiet - in fact at 2.30pm we were the only customers! A friendly welcome, popadums whilst we waited for our main courses with nan and salad. Served hot and full of flavour, and staggeringly good value. We will return soon, and cannot recommend Haveli highly enough.
