About This Pub

Ah, Gunners Arms Stanney Grange – what a gem of a pub it's turned into lately. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, it's all about that homely vibe where the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the drinks are spot on without costing a fortune. I love how they've spruced the place up; it's clean as a whistle now, which really lifts the spirits after hearing it was a bit run-down before. It's got that classic community pub charm, full of laughs and a great atmosphere for everything from a quiet pint to cheering on the footie. On the flip side, though, their website's a bit of a let-down with some technical glitches, so you might struggle to get the lowdown online before you go. And the opening times seem a tad confusing from what's listed, which could catch you out if you're planning a visit. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening – just pop in and see for yourself; you might end up making it your new regular haunt!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • They've got a cracking selection of drinks at really fair prices, perfect for a casual night out without breaking the bank.
  • The pub's had a lovely recent refurbishment, so it's spotlessly clean and cosy, which makes for a much more enjoyable visit.
  • It's got that proper community feel, with a warm atmosphere and plenty of laughs, ideal for catching up with mates or watching the game.
Cons
  • The website seems to be playing up with some errors, which might make it tricky to check menus or events before heading over.
  • The operating hours look a bit muddled in the listings, so it could be worth double-checking to avoid any surprises on arrival.

First time back after a lot of years as it was in decline , management just let the pub go to wreck and ruin . Was there last night and it was very clean , staff and customers were very friendly . Will go back again
