About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Grace & Vine – it's this gem of a wine bar tucked away in central Leamington Spa, and I've got to say, it's one of those places that really hits the spot for a laid-back get-together. The atmosphere is just spot on, with cosy seating and gentle lighting that makes you want to linger over a glass or two. Their wine selection is top-notch, focusing on organic and low-intervention options, paired with these delicious pintxos-style small plates that burst with fresh, seasonal flavours – it's a far cry from the standard pub grub, and I love how they keep things interesting with local ingredients. The staff are an absolute treat, always on hand with a smile and great recommendations, which really adds to the welcoming feel. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect; that automatic 10% tip can feel a bit cheeky and might put a damper on things for groups, and the seating arrangement can get a tad crowded, making it feel less intimate than you'd hope. Plus, a few folks have mentioned sticky tables and rather basic facilities, so it might not be the most polished experience if you're after something immaculate. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for anyone in the area looking for quality drinks and bites in a friendly setting – just go in with realistic expectations, and you're in for a good time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, with comfortable seating and soft lighting that makes you feel right at home for a relaxed evening.
-
They've got a fantastic selection of organic wines and creative cocktails, including some real gems that are perfect for trying something new.
-
The staff are so attentive and friendly, always making sure you're looked after without being over the top.
-
The small plates are a delight – full of flavour and made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, offering a fresh take on tapas that's far from the usual fare.
-
It's a welcoming spot for a casual drink or a light meal, especially if you're after local beers on tap or artisanal coffee.
Cons
-
That automatic 10% tip can leave a bit of a sour note at the end of an otherwise great visit, as it might feel a tad forced for some.
-
The table layout feels a bit cramped and uninspired, almost like a canteen at times, which could make for a less comfortable experience in a busy spot.
-
There are mentions of sticky surfaces and basic facilities, like the loos, which suggests they could do with a bit more attention to keep everything spotless.
-
It might not suit everyone if you're after a more spacious or polished setting, as things can feel a little tight or basic in places.

This bar is lovely. As you can see, I had the Cosmopolitan, and it was the best. The staff were attentive and have a really great atmosphere.
A great place for drinks, very new cocktails as well as the classics. The place is nice and welcoming, and its great to pop in for a decent drink.
the 10% automatic tip is a bit annoying, and leaves a bit of a foul taste after a good evening. I'd suggest removing this as its turning away many groups i fear. Tips would be given freely, but the expectation sours the experience.
Great food carefully preparedand well presented. Some outstanding wine by the glass. Nice staff. Layout of tables offered a bit unaminagitive and crammed (a tight row rather canteen like). My hands stucked to eating surfaces! A proper cleaning system would not go amiss and loos very basic. Could easily be a superb wine bar if these basic issues were addressed.
Tapas but not your generic tapas. Grace and Vine offer interesting dishes with tonnes of flavour. There are plenty of places in Leamington calling themselves tapas restaurants but they all fall into the same trap - predictable menus where everything is deep fried without any finesse. Grace and Vine have a menu full of delicious, fresh tasting dishes and each one is executed to perfection. We came as a group of 5 late Saturday afternoon. We settled on ordering 10+ dishes between us. One of us was a veggie and it was great to see the number of vegetarian friendly items on offer. Every dish that came out was beautifully presented with tasty garnishes and sauces. I really enjoyed the polenta chips, frittata and croquetas. We topped it all off with some classy espresso martinis. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive and the decor and general atmosphere make this place quite special.
Walk past this spot on my way home from work and finally stopped in last weekend for the first time on a Sunday. The atmosphere is lovely with welcoming staff, comfortable seats and lovely soft lighting. Even though the restaurant was fairly busy, it never felt too loud.
We had really lovely wine and some cocktails, very knowledgable waiter who knew their menu very well and gave great recommendations. The food was unique and interesting and as a vegetarian/pescatarian couple we still felt we had lots of interesting choices. Menu seemed well thought out and didn't have boring usual veggie choices. Our favourite by far was the lovely swiss chard stew followed by the croquettas.
We popped in a couple of times since, for a quick drink and cheese board which was also very nice sat on the window sill bar whilst chatting away. Hoping to pop in the day to have a coffee as it looks like a great place to get a bit of work done.
