About This Pub

You know, when I chat about La Coppola with mates, I always say it's one of those spots that just hits the mark for a proper Italian feast. The food is brilliant – think fresh, flavoursome dishes with ingredients straight from Italy, like that amazing buffalo mozzarella or the best oysters I've tried in ages. The team there are dead helpful and make you feel looked after without being over the top, and the vibe is just right for a relaxed evening or a celebration. On the flip side, it does lean towards the more expensive end, so you might want to save it for when you're in the mood to splash out a bit. Overall, with its solid 4.5 rating from heaps of happy visitors, it's a place I'd recommend for a treat, especially if you're exploring Leamington Spa and fancy something a cut above the ordinary.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely top-notch, with fresh Italian ingredients like buffalo mozzarella and sun-ripened tomatoes that make every bite feel authentic and delicious.
  • The service is spot on – friendly staff who are quick and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's got a lovely atmosphere, with a pretty setting that's perfect for a special night out or celebrating with mates.
  • They offer excellent cocktails and oysters, which are highlights for anyone looking for a bit of indulgence.
  • Being open seven days a week from midday till 10pm makes it super convenient for a spontaneous meal or planned get-together.
Cons
  • It can be a tad pricey, so it might not be ideal if you're after something budget-friendly for a casual weeknight.
  • While the reviews are glowing, it seems more suited to a refined dining experience rather than a laid-back pub crawl, so it might feel a bit formal for some.

It was one of those evenings, when we decided to go out for dinner. A spur of the moment occasion. We had never heard of La Coppola, but thought we would give a try… and I’m glad I did. The whole meal was excellent. Service, atmosphere and most of all the food. I couldn’t fault it. The only thing I will fault, is how much I will weigh tomorrow. We started with the Bruschetta. I then had the Pasta Tartufata, fantastic… followed by Cacciucco… big portions and flavours to die for (and they don’t skimp on the seafood portions!). I even managed a dessert of Torta Della Nonna. I’m stuffed, but I would do it all again. This is a family run restaurant, with a great ambience and great service. I haven’t had Italian this good for the longest time. At the end I thought the bill would be huge, but it actually wasn’t. I was surprised, but happily so. You have to try this place. It’s worth every penny…

Very pleasant restaurant, amazing food and very friendly staff. The place itself is really pretty, the service was quick and, while it's a little bit pricey, it's definitely worth it for the quality and overall experience. I'd definitely come back here when I'll come back to England, and I'd recommend it without hesitation for all the Italian food lovers

What a beautiful restaurant! I had a wonderful time celebrating International Women's Day with friends! The restaurant boasts a delightful ambiance and a fantastic environment that made our gathering truly special. The highlight of the meal was definitely the lobster pasta—it's a standout dish! The rich flavors and perfectly cooked lobster made it a must-try for any seafood lover. The service was also outstanding, making our experience even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to visit this place again for another memorable dining experience!

Spent our last night of our European holiday at La Coppola and so glad that we did. The food was outstanding and so was the service. Highly recommend for a special night out in Leamington Spa

Amazing restaurant, excellent cocktails. best oysters ever, very flavourful. We had six Oysters, chicken livers which were delicious, served in a rich gravy sauce. We also had the courgette fries again served with a lovely dipping sauce, delicious. For mains we ordered the lobster linguine, with brandy sauce, this wasn’t as saucy or creamy as I had hoped but had a good serving of lobster. For dessert we shared pannacotta which was very nice.
