About This Pub
You know, Grace Kelly's in Tynemouth is one of those places that really captures the spirit of an Irish lounge, with its lively atmosphere, live music, and quiz nights that make for a brilliant night. The staff are genuinely warm and on hand to fix any snags, like when someone had a kitchen issue but ended up with fabulous food and outstanding service – it's touches like that which make it stand out. They've got a solid range of drinks too, and it's such a welcoming spot if you're exploring the area for the first time. On the flip side, though, the prices are a tad high for what you get; hearing about £10 for a simple pint and a coke made me wince, as it put off a group who might have stayed longer otherwise. Then there are the gripes about the toilets being in a poor state and the place feeling understaffed on Saturdays, which could spoil the fun if you're not prepared. All in all, it's a gem for a good time by the coast, but keep an eye on the costs and maybe check it's not too hectic before you head in.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing with live music and quiz nights, making it a top spot for a fun evening out.
-
Staff are incredibly friendly and go the extra mile to sort out any issues, like when there was a kitchen mix-up but they turned it around smoothly.
-
It's got a great selection of drinks and feels welcoming right from the door, especially if you're new to the area.
Cons
-
Drinks prices can be a bit steep – like £10.10 for a pint of lager and a coke, which left some feeling it was over the top.
-
The toilets were in a right state in one review, with issues like overflowing and no seats, which really puts a damper on things.
-
It sometimes feels understaffed, leading to rushed service and a less than ideal experience on busy nights.

Loved the atmosphere. Great live music. Booked a bottomless brunch. Hiccup with the kitchen. Not a problem. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had food. Which was fabulous. Service was outstanding. Highly recommended for a great all round experience. Will be back very soon 👍
Toilets in terrible state on Saturday night, 1 over flowing the other no toilet seat on. No glasses available to serve cocktails served pornstar martinis in 2 half empty whiskey glasses, no passion fruit ect slapped down on bar terrible attitude from bar staff. Place felt so under staffed. Shame as music was good. Maybe employ a glass collector who can also maintain the toilets.
Brilliant atmosphere and amazing guitarist! The best night celebrating my birthday! Thanks to Reece for a fabulous night!
Good bar, decent atmosphere, but £10.10 for a pint of lager and a pint of coke, seriously? Just greedy. We were 3 couples and on returning to our table were all unhappy with what we had paid. Charge a bit less and we'd have drunk a lot more rather than heading after one.
New to tynemouth, this bar has it all! Good selection of drinks, great music, good service. Tynemouth needed a bar like this.
Has live music, quiz nights every Thursday.
As soon as I entered was welcomed by friendly staff. Drinks are not bad prices for the area.
