About This Pub
Ah, the Fox & Grapes – it's one of those pubs that just warms you up as soon as you step inside. Tucked away in the buzzing Sneinton Market, it's surrounded by all sorts of independent spots, which adds to that community feel. I love how they've got this brilliant mix of beers on tap; whether you're into cask classics or something more crafty, there's always something new to try, and the staff are dead helpful with suggestions. The food's another highlight – those Chucky's burgers and fried chicken are proper tasty, and it's great to see options for veggies and vegans too. Plus, with outdoor seating, it's ideal for a sunny afternoon pint. On the flip side, things can get a bit steep price-wise, so it might not be the best for a budget night out. I heard from a mate that they wouldn't let him sample a beer, which seemed a shame, especially since other Castle Rock spots are more flexible. And yeah, the location near the road means it can be a tad loud at times. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening – just go in with realistic expectations, and you'll have a cracking time!

Good pub with a decent selection of keg and cask. Beers can be a little pricey here though. The kitchen sells mostly fried chicken and chips and it's very good.
Plenty of seats outside although it is close to the main road.
The photo says it all… I’ve never been in a pub before that won’t let you taste a sip of what they have to offer… I’ve been in many castle rock pubs and never been refused a trial of a beer. Disappointing
Such a great pub. The big windows on each side are quite unusual, and make for quite an interesting room. Fantastic range of beers with knowledgeable bar staff, as they often are at Castle Rock pubs. Food is good too - fried chicken, served in a number of ways. Occasionally have music, which is also pretty good.
This pub used to be a rub down scruffy pub with a bad reputation, well done to Castle Rock for turning it around. It's in an area with quite a few good ale pubs which would make it an excellent pub crawl.
A Verified Venue on the Untappd App with guest ales along with the full complement of Castle Rock ales.
