About This Pub

When I think about Forester's Call, it really brings a smile – it's one of those unpretentious pubs that just gets the basics spot on, you know? The folks behind the bar are absolute gems, always up for a bit of banter and making sure everyone's sorted, which gives the place such a homely vibe. It's ideal for kicking back with friends, whether you're lining up a shot on the pool table or soaking up the atmosphere with a decent beer. That outside area is a nice touch too, especially if the weather plays ball. On the downside, it might not wow you with a huge range of drinks or modern perks like an online menu, so if you're after something a bit more trendy, it could feel a tad old-school. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a straightforward, enjoyable evening out – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area and fancy a proper pub experience without any fuss.

Traditional locals/regulars boozer serving one ale from local bridge beers along with the usual selection. As old school as they come this one. Nice tiling on front of pub and has a fairly large outside area which is quite pleasant!! Has a pool table. A welcoming throwback pint 🍻 🎱

Found this pub one evening when googled to find a pub with a beer garden in Ashton a few months ago . As soon as we walked into the pub we took a seat in the main seating area inside the actual pub . Brilliant atmosphere , good for sports and a juke box for music which I noticed some people have some brilliant music choices 🤣 A big shout out to hazel on the bar and her husband Pete who is a good laugh too . Also the land lady is friendly and majority of the customers are friendly too and always make us feel welcome and good banter . The pub , staff and atmosphere is first class and always pop in on a Saturday night when we can 👍
