About This Pub
Ah, Fat Lenny's Saloon – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant friendly vibe where everyone's up for a singalong with the karaoke or just enjoying the tunes spinning in the background. The staff are spot on, dressed in their wild West get-up, which adds a cheeky touch of fun to the whole experience, and the drinks are reasonably priced, so you can have a few without worrying about the wallet. On the flip side, it seems like not everyone's cup of tea; one reviewer was gutted that there weren't any real cowboys about, which might leave you chuckling or disappointed if you're expecting something straight out of a film. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening, especially if you're in the mood for good company and a laugh, but it might not wow you if you're after a more polished setup. I'd say give it a go – it's got that warm, welcoming feel that makes you want to come back.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is spot on – it's friendly and welcoming, perfect for a good laugh with mates.
-
They've got cracking karaoke and tunes that keep the energy high, making every visit memorable.
-
Drinks are dead cheap, with affordable beers and shots that won't break the bank.
-
The wild West theme is a right bit of fun, from the staff's costumes to the saloon-style doors – it's all charming and adds to the vibe.
-
Most folks rave about it, saying it's the best spot in town for a pint and a chat.
Cons
-
One punter was chuffed off because it didn't live up to the cowboy theme, expecting actual cowboys which, let's face it, is a bit daft but still a letdown for some.
-
There's no website or online presence, so it might be tricky to get the latest info before heading out.
-
The odd negative comment suggests it might not appeal to everyone, especially if you're after something more sophisticated.

Good bar, friendly atmosphere, good karaoke.
Great place, great atmosphere. Always call in now when on a night out in Ashton, and it never disappoints! Great tunes, karaoke (some good and bad!), everyone's always friendly and always have a laugh when in there, cheap beers and shots what else do you need? Would highly recommend.
Best bar in town, good beer good music and good people. Highly recommend this venue
Fun little bar love that the staff have a cool wild West uniform and the saloon style doors on the loos were really fun too.
Friendly staff nice decor and generally a nice to go well worth a visit.
:)
Was in fat Lenny's l for 3 hours, not a single cowboy seen leaving the door that is specifically for cowboys and is labelled cowboys. Extremely disappointed in the amount of cowboys on offer
Would not recommend to cowboy enthusiasts.
On a site note not a single reference to heath ledger or Jake gillinhal.
