About This Pub
Oh, Fishery Wharf Cafe is one of those hidden treasures down by the canal in Hemel Hempstead – it's got this lovely, laid-back feel that makes you want to linger over a cuppa and a slice of homemade cake. The staff are an absolute joy, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, and the food? Well, from the fresh pizzas to the excellent coffees, it's all made with local ingredients that really shine. Plus, with live music events sprinkled throughout the year, it's a brilliant spot for a casual evening out. That said, it's not without its quirks; service can drag on a bit, leaving you waiting longer than you'd like, and some might feel it's a touch expensive for what's on the plate. Queues can build up too, and sharing tables isn't everyone's cup of tea, especially on busier days. All in all, if you're after a relaxed day by the water with good company and a bit of atmosphere, it's worth a visit – just plan ahead and go with the flow!

Fantastic quirky cafe on the canal. Brilliant staff and Al is a great host Very tasty pizzas and coffee / cakes.
Also has vibrant live music nights. Highly recommend a visit
Superb coffee and food in a fabulous location, with super friendly and efficient staff. Everything a cafe should be! Highly recommended
Quirky, comfortable but... not good value for money at all. Standard food, a long queue to order. We also had to share a table with another couple. Nice on a summers day, the menu is varied, but the value for service/food quality/privacy just isn't there for me. Trust the masses on this one, it was absolutely rammed so there's something that draws people back.
Stopped here for a late brunch. It is quite a quirky place. Given the inclement weather, we ate indoors. Staff here were super friendly and chatty. The brunch options were good and we couldn't fault our food or coffees.
There is parking here for around 8 cars. The entrance is a little hard to see just over the bridge. Nice place to stroll alongside the canal too.
