About This Pub
Ah, Fell Bar in Kendal – it's one of those hidden gems that just draws you in for a proper pint and a good natter. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute legends, always up for a friendly chat and making sure everyone feels looked after. The craft beers and real ales on offer are a real highlight, with plenty of options to suit different tastes, and the upstairs area adds a nice touch for when you fancy a bit more peace. Prices are fair too, so it's easy to pop in for a couple without worrying about the wallet, and if you're peckish, their pizzas are spot on and don't keep you waiting long. On the downside, the beer selection could do with a bit more variety to keep things exciting, and it's a small space that can get rammed on busier evenings, leading to slower service that might frustrate you if you're in a rush. Overall, with such a strong rating, it's well worth checking out for a relaxed evening – just go in with realistic expectations and you'll likely have a brilliant time.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
They've got a fantastic selection of craft beers and real ales, perfect for anyone looking to try something a bit special.
-
The atmosphere is spot on – it's got that cosy, charming vibe with a lovely upstairs area that's great for a quieter chat.
-
Drinks are reasonably priced, so you won't break the bank treating yourself or your mates.
-
The pizzas are pretty banging and come out quickly, even when the place is buzzing, which is a real win for a quick bite.
Cons
-
The beer selection isn't the most extensive, so if you're after a huge variety, you might find it a tad lacking.
-
Service can be a bit slow at times, especially when it's busy, which might put a damper on things.
-
It's a small bar tucked off the main road, so it can get quite packed and feel a little cramped on lively nights.
-
Some of the beers didn't quite live up to expectations for a few folks, leaving them a bit underwhelmed.

Very nice bar. Been in a few times now. Not the greatest beer selection but always worth having a couple of halves in anyway. Still need to try their pizzas!
To be honest I was left a little disappointed. Tried 3 different beers , as shown in photo . But felt they lacked something. Shame as staff good . Small bar off main rd through town centre.
Pretty banging pizza. We came in on a friday so it was obviously busy but we snagged the only table upstairs so it was nice and quiet. Very atmospheric throughout, drinks are reasonably priced and the pizza came quickly despite it being busy and having only one person making them.
Fantastic little craft beer bar. Very friendly service, great beers and gin. Nice upstairs area too.
Very cool place in the centre of Kendal. Decent selection of real ales and craft beers and a few guest keg beers. Very well styled on the first floor inside an old building with timber beams. Great ambience. Only thing that let this place down was slow service when we initially entered.
