First time I've set foot in this pub in over 20 years. Inside it is still the same old boozer that was populated by bus drivers at the end of their shift from the garage over the road but it's now become almost solely populated by Latinos giving it a very different vibe these days. We were there for a mother's day event and sat outside in the huge beer garden in the sunshine with amazing food and good music. I understand they hold regular music nights which are very popular.
I had an amazing night at Crown & Sceptre, and it’s easily one of the best Latin pubs I’ve ever been to. From the moment I stepped in, the place was buzzing with energy — the music, the people, the dancing — it was all spot on!
What really impressed me was the outstanding value for money. The food was full of flavor, the drinks were perfectly priced, and everything felt like it was made to be enjoyed, not just sold. It’s rare to find such quality without breaking the bank, but Crown & Sceptre gets it just right.
The vibes were absolutely unmatched — vibrant, warm, and full of life. Whether you're there to dance, chill with friends, or just enjoy the Latin beats, this place hits every mark. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for the perfect mix of atmosphere, flavor, and affordability, Crown & Sceptre is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Having previously dined at Latin House in Camberwell, I was excited to try their Crown location as it’s closer to me. The food was absolutely delicious—full of the rich, bold flavors I’ve come to love from the restaurant. The service was excellent plus, parking was incredibly easy, which was a huge bonus when traveling with a young baby. Highly recommend!
I hadn’t been to the Crown & Sceptre for a long time, but popped in this evening with three friends for a drink. We ended up checking out the menu and decided to try some tapas—prawns, squids, and chorizo—along with classic burgers. The food was delicious, well-presented, and reasonably priced. The sauces were especially nice!
Service took a little longer than expected, but the quality of the food was well worth the wait. Our server, Wilson, was outstanding and made our experience really enjoyable. Great taste in music, too!
What really stood out was the variety and quality of the food. Definitely planning to come back soon—maybe to try the Sunday roast!
I visited The Crown & Sceptre last Saturday during a Christmas bazaar hosted there.
I was truly impressed by the attentive staff, who made everyone feel welcome.
The atmosphere was perfect—a warm and lively space where Venezuelans could come together and connect.
The live music was absolutely spectacular, adding to the festive spirit. I want to express my gratitude for an afternoon filled with fun, delicious food, and such a cozy vibe.
Thank you for creating such a memorable experience—I absolutely loved being there!
