You know, when I popped into Cosy Club in Derby, I was really taken by how they've kept that lovely historic feel from its days as the old Royal Hotel – it's got this warm, inviting vibe that's just perfect for whiling away an evening. The team there are absolute stars; they're so attentive and make sure everything runs smoothly, whether you're dealing with dietary needs or planning a special do like a birthday bash. The food's a real highlight too, with heaps of choices that cater to all sorts, and it's spot on for group get-togethers with options like private rooms for a bit more privacy. On the downside, I have to say some of the cocktails came across as overly sweet, which left me wishing for a lighter touch, and if you're in the mood for something super casual, it might feel a smidge more polished than your average pub. All things considered, it's a cracking place for a good night out in Derby, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a go for the positives alone.
