About This Pub
Ah, Bob Inn – what a gem of a pub in the heart of Chorley market! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, it's got this really inviting atmosphere that's just perfect for sinking into a comfy chat with friends over a well-poured pint. The beers are a standout, with a cracking selection of local cask ales that keep things fresh and exciting, and at such affordable prices, you can't go wrong. The staff truly make the place; they're so approachable and efficient, always ready with a smile and a recommendation. It's clear from the rave reviews that folks love popping in for that genuine, community feel. On the flip side, though, it's a compact spot, so if you're after somewhere spacious for a larger group, it might not quite fit the bill – and with it only open five days a week until 6 PM, you'll have to plan around that. Still, for a laid-back afternoon or evening of good drinks and easygoing vibes, I'd say it's well worth a visit. All in all, it's got that homely charm that makes you want to return, but just keep those limitations in mind for the best experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beer selection is fantastic, with a great range of local cask ales and other options that really hit the spot for any ale enthusiast.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and provide top-notch service, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got a lovely atmosphere, tucked away in Chorley market, perfect for a relaxed catch-up with mates over a pint.
-
Prices are really reasonable, so you can enjoy a good night out without breaking the bank.
-
Despite being a small spot, there's plenty of seating nearby in the market, which adds to the charm and community feel.
Cons
-
It's a tiny micro bar, which means it can feel a bit cramped if it gets busy, and there might not be much room to spread out.
-
The opening hours are limited to just five days a week and they close early at 6 PM, so it's not ideal for late-night plans.
-
There's no phone number listed, which could make it tricky if you need to check something quickly or book ahead.
-
The website is still quite basic and not fully set up, so you might not find all the info you want online before visiting.

Lovely little pub in the market nice staff good service ..Good beer 🍺 xxx
Love this place, great atmosphere, great beer and amazing staff
A great little micro bar set within Chorley market. Even though a very small bar there is plenty of seating opposite inside the market. Great range of cask on offer and other beers, cider and spirits.
Parking is on the flat iron car park a 5 minute walk away.
Came here a few years ago and always planned a return. A regular CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry. Situated on Chorley market it is a really small micro bar but there is also communal market seating. Three real ales. Jorvic took a pint of session bitter from Brewsmith, a Bolton brewery. A bit too cold on a freezing December 1st but still enjoyed it. One of 22 pubs / bars in Chorley selling real ale...market has very good toilets..

This lovely little micro pub is in Chorley Market and also has an outdoor drinking area at the back of the pub.
This place has a great owner/bar manager. There were 3 lovely local hand pumped ales on today.
The ales on handpump were all well kept and from local breweries.
This is an essential visit when in Chorlet to drink real ale in.
PS NOTE THE LITTE SNUG THAT IS INDIDE THIS MICRO PUB.😁
