About This Pub
Ah, Cork and Cage – what a lovely spot it is in Stirchley! I've got to say, if you're out for a pint or a casual catch-up, this place really hits the mark with its constantly changing lineup of quality beers, real ciders, natural wines, and small-batch spirits, all from independent producers. The folks behind the bar are proper gems; they're so accommodating and know their stuff inside out, which makes chatting about drinks a real pleasure. It's also brilliant that they're dog and child-friendly, adding to that warm, inclusive feel that's perfect for a relaxed evening. On the food front, when it's available midweek, it's straightforward and seasonal – think tasty sandwiches and the like from pop-ups – but it's a shame it's only on for a few hours on Tuesdays to Thursdays. That said, if you're not fussed about eating, it's still a winner. Overall, with such glowing feedback from regulars, it's clear this is a favourite for good reason, though do remember it's card only and the hours might vary, so plan ahead for a seamless visit. It's one of those places that leaves you wanting to come back for more.

Cons
-

-
The operating hours can seem a bit inconsistent from the info available, so it's worth double-checking before heading out, especially on Sundays.

Never had food in here, but this is a must-visit if you're drinking in Stirchley, and usually the centrepiece of my nights there. The gents behind the bar know their stuff and are very accommodating. Plus the £5 pints of Steady are golden.
Great local bar! Beers rotate and always have lots of local options, but wine and small selection of cocktails too. Very dog friendly! They often do pop-ups, which are always good fun and well organised. Favourite bar for a casual drink in Stirchley for sure!
12 hours and 54 minutes of alien (including credits definitely 13hrs)
best experience of my life except that one time i found £20 in a charity shop hand bag.
Great sandwhiches by Mintfords (some cool pop up)
bar staff are nice and don’t smell horrible.
great place
We don't live locally however we occasionally visit Stirchley due to the quality of beer establishments in the area and Cork and Cage is probably the best of the lot. Their tap list never disappoints and usually includes some incredible beers from the likes of Glasshouse and The Kernel. Add in friendly service and great atmosphere, what's not to love. We haven't tried the food unfortunately, so unable to comment on that but it looks great from what I've seen on social media. It's a must visit when in the area and is the best craft beer bar in Birmingham right now.
We had the best food this evening in cork and cage. Every dish was absolutely delicious, we couldn’t decide on our favourite!! 😋😋. On top of this, the guys who own it are amazing and their kind hospitality was the highlight of our post-degree-finishing celebrations. I can’t wait to come back here many more times!!!!
