About This Pub
Ah, Chapmans Bar – it's one of those unpretentious pubs in Rutherglen that just draws you in with its warm, welcoming feel. I've got to say, the buzz here is spot on, especially if you're popping in after a big match; it's got that electric energy that makes for great nights out. The karaoke on Fridays is a real highlight – the hosts know how to get the crowd going, and it's all good fun without any pressure. Plus, the staff are dead helpful, serving up pints and those tasty pies with a smile that makes you feel like a regular from the get-go. On the flip side, though, the music can sometimes be turned up a bit too high, which might spoil a nice catch-up with friends if you're not in the mood for it blasting away. And it's a cosy space, which is charming most of the time, but could feel a tad tight when it's packed. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening in Glasgow – just keep an eye on the volume and you'll have a brilliant time.
Pros and Cons

-
Karaoke nights on Fridays are a proper laugh; the hosts are spot on, keeping things fun and engaging for everyone.
-
The staff are incredibly welcoming and efficient, making sure you get served quickly with a friendly smile.
-
Even without a full food menu, their pies are a winner – simple but spot-on for a satisfying bite alongside your pint.
Cons
-
The music can be blasted at an ear-splitting level sometimes, which might put a damper on having a good chat with mates.
-
It's not the largest spot, so on busier nights, you might find it a bit cramped if you're after more space to spread out.

The pubs not the biggest but the atmosphere is electric 🍀
Great karaoke on a Friday night. Kirsty is a great host..
Used to be a cracking old Rutherglen pub. Great after the football at Celtic Park or Hampden but it's ruined now by the daft, unnecessary music played at moronically high volume in spite of repeated requests to tone it down.
First time In, quick service, very good barman..very welcoming.
